Well I guess the consequence would be that the racist c*** would feel all butthurt and tearful and go on the internet to complain, but as that would be the intended consequence there's no problem.
Well I suggest that calling someone a racist c*** to their face could well result in more than a complaint on the internet.
Someone i went to school with
Called someone a racist c*nt

The Racist C*nt swang a fist but
The school friend had put his forehead
against the racist nose before the punch got near &
lots of Blood flowed .

I guess thats what Enoch meant by
Rivers of Blood .
Probably. Proves my point though.

Did the same situation ever occur over a bit of booing?

I think it's the italics that did it, and your previous posts that lead me right down the path of you not being a vile racist. Well done you!

Where am I getting worked up?

The ones getting worked up are those booing. And those who repetitively launch threads entitled 'I'm bored of the kneeling'.

Doubt it's ever going to make a significant impact so this is just going to go on forever or until the next distraction. With one side saying they're bored and the other claiming just not kneeled enough to end racism yet.

Brentford’s players have announced they will no longer take the knee before matches.

Bees’ squad issued a statement yesterday ahead of this afternoon’s home clash with Barnsley.

They reinforced commitment to eradicating racism and discrimination - but explained they believe the gesture is no longer having an impact.

The decision comes days after Wilfried Zaha said it was “degrading” for black players to take the knee to “show that we matter”.

How has it gone from being a massive statement against racism to it being degrading to black players?

That's an excellent point Ornchurch and you should raise this with Wilfried Zaha

Here's the thing - if Black players want to do it, I will support it - and them. If they don't want to do it anymore, I will respect that too.

It's not really for me, or for any other white person to decide what's best here - though everyone is, of course, entitled to their view. Just as we are entitled to call them out for it if that view clearly indicates there's some racism lurking in it.

You've taken what Zaha said completely out of context. I really doubt the reason the Brentford players have decided to stop (which is also completely fine, no-one is saying its mandatory!) are the same reasons that you find the gesture objectionable.

Does taking the knee hurt anyone, no of course not (Big Ron excepted, stuck in that position )? Does it do any good, I don't know, it highlights ongoing issues, issues which in a civilised country like ours should have been put to bed years ago.

I think BAME people are the ones to say whether it helps or not.

I have never seen or heard racism at Orient I am pleased to say

The term BAME is also starting to cause issues. I was listening to Trevor Sinclair on TalkSport last week and he said that he doesn’t like the word and doesn’t like being included in the BAME group as he is not BAME but Black.

Were they black?

They was the other point that Sinclair made last week to Simon Jordan. He isn’t interested in Asian or other BAME people, just the ones that look like him.
