Just listened on my trip to Sainsburys and a few things I've noted.

It was great to hear Kent confirm that Martin is already working on the summer transfer window.

He confirmed exactly what I've said several times. They under promise and downplay expectations but they expect more privately.

Fantastic to hear him blame Justin Edinburgh for the mess we're in this summer, in regards to the amount of people whos contracts are up. It has absolutely nothing to do with the DoF, at all. Take the blame off of Martin Ling and put it on a bloke nobody will criticse, didn't like that at all. Says their transfer strategy is to get 2 to 4 players in every window to "upgrade the squad from where we are to where we want to be". "if we're going to bring in 2 to 4 every transfer window, after 24 months, the team will be different". Very contradictory from 'Justin wanted to resign the whole squad after the promotion and that's why we have so many out of contract now'.

He mentions the club didn't expect offers to to come in for Bonne and Koroma. The same Bonne and Koroma that we sold at a lower price because Martin Ling promised them . Also contradicted himself "Are we a big enough club to compete with who DJ might get offered by? Were we a big enough club for Josh? Nope. Macauley Bonne? Nope. It's just the reality of the club that we are". So, do we expect offers from bigger clubs for our brest players or not

His expectation is a top 7 finish this season. It's achievable but I think that's down to the league being a bit sh*t and not Orient storming their way into the playoffs. If it doesn't happen, I think the board will be asking questions about the direction of the set up.

Also said there's a review after every 7 games. If that's the case, how the f*** is anyone at the club watching Sam Ling's performances and thinks 'maybe we should try Akinola, Judd or Thomas' there.

Boring negative football.
Clearly he expects better with the support the board have given.
I think there will be a change at the end of the season if this doesn’t improve.
He has the players but doesn’t seem to know that playing 3 individuals upfront is not working.

Kent has said before he understands very little about football so I can understand if he occasionally contradicts himself, especially if Travis or Ling aren't there to field certain questions for him. There wasn't much wrong with what he said though.

He clearly has very high standards for everyone and is always pushing for people to improve. Great that this culture is being implemented right through the core of the club. You can see it rubbing of on Ling, Ross, and most likely the players.

The one thing I slightly disagreed with him on was him liking certain fans' expectations that we should be walking the league and winning every game 3/4-0. It's that kind of ridiculous expectation that's responsible for much of the toxic atmosphere each time we don't win a game. But Kent is smart enough to not get carried away with that.

Yes its what he said, but you seem to miss the part that Justin believed they would take us to league 1. That squad was good enough to do exactly that and you've seen this season that they are good enough to do that.

The players are not the problem, the head coach is the problem and its questionable if he has the qualities to set us up correctly, coach them correctly, motivate them and when the sh*t hits the fan have a plan b to revert to. So far he has proved that he falls short in many of those areas.

So Justin is not to blame in any way shape or form, Kent never expressed that opinion and I personally believe Justin would have taken us straight up last season and if anything we've seen this season we would be top of the league under him this season.

No one seems to have picked up on the issue in the coaching team. Kent said that Ross needs to trust the coaching team more. That was a massive statement for me. He either is not delegating enough to them, does not let them run the sessions or is not fully listening to any feedback that they may be giving. I don't know what the issue actually is, but its quite damming on Ross.

Now it does make sense to me, as I said as recently as sat that Ross needs to take some feedback from Danny. Seems like that's not happening or not being taken on board if it is. Some said on here that WhatsApp was down during the game or something like that, if that's whats been said then again it shows that the communication is not what it should be and the fact we played two of our better games this season without Ross there and we played quite differently as well suggests they kind of did what they wanted to do rather than what Ross wanted, possibly?

Whatever the issues are Ross needs to pull his finger out, play his best players in their best positions, have a plan b, communicate better and let's go and attack the opposition instead of being kind of scared of them.

What? You quoted my post where it says that. I'm not talking about whether Justin was right or wrong to want to sign them up. My point is the DoF has allowed this summer to happen because he gave most of the squad contracts that ran out in the same summer and hasn't got thew spine of the team already signed for next year. Kent's whole thing on transfers doesn't make sense and it's contradictory.
