I think the keeper was somewhat taller than that !Lovejoy wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2019 4:55 pmI was listening to The Who - Live At Leeds at the time, much better than the BBC commentary. I just could take a game seriously that had a three foot tall goalkeeper with tiny hands who could not dive to save her life.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2019 4:11 pmNo need at all to consult anything on your Ipad about that !! Right from the start of the game you could see her lined up in the centre of the French defence. Just use your eyes and notice she just comes up for free kicks and corners. also listen to the commentary as they talk about the teams and what positions the players play in.

Not by much, when she dived she seemed to be two feet tall.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2019 5:01 pmI think the keeper was somewhat taller than that !Lovejoy wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2019 4:55 pmI was listening to The Who - Live At Leeds at the time, much better than the BBC commentary. Re: Womens World Cup
Are you saying the FA won't receive enough income from the WC to cover a pretty nominal appearance fee?spen666 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2019 3:05 pmWhere is the money going to come from if the women's game does not make sufficient profit?
It's a bit like arguing Leyton Orient should pay their players the same as Man City as both won their leagues. Basic financial commonsense dictates you can't survive if you pay out more than you earn

But the opposition have had the last laugh, they have stolen all of your player's bank details.

Re: Womens World Cup
The men’s appearance fee is not paid to the players and hasn’t been for several years, but collected in a central pot along with other fees. This is then distributed to charities of the players choosing. This change was instigated at the time of wealth explosion in football and the players earning the most wanted to use the England platform to give back to the community.Real Al wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2019 8:01 pmAre you saying the FA won't receive enough income from the WC to cover a pretty nominal appearance fee?spen666 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2019 3:05 pmWhere is the money going to come from if the women's game does not make sufficient profit?
