While I agree, it won’t happen. So the only way for Happe to get back in is to drop one of the centre teo

Two chances for Wilkinson there, one shot saved smartly at the near post but an ever better one from the corner which he heads over. Good tempo so far.

Re: Exiles thread - Colchester (H)
How can our best defender, and best young player who has played pretty much every game this season expect to come straight back in?
Yeah, I dunno

Re: Exiles thread - Colchester (H)
Big chance for Colchester after Kemp is outmuscled, lifted into the centre where Nouble heads off the post / bar.
Right now it's Brophy rather than Ling having the problems at full-back. The latter started pretty well made some decent clearing headers when required.

Getting rinsed down the left. Brophy and Kemp aren't competing physically.

Lots of passes for the sake of it. Only really start to make any threat once it goes to Wilkinson to start taking people on. Abrahams barely had chance to touch the ball so far.

Just following through a combination of the pitiful twitter feed and the BBC's more frequently updated text feed.
So far it sounds less than riveting. Again.
Does it look any better on the eyeballs?

Re: Exiles thread - Colchester (H)
First couple of minutes aside, no. It's just such a slow ponderous playing style it gives the opposition plenty of time to get in position and intercept the obvious pass when it comes.Eat The Rich wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 3:31 pm Just following through a combination of the pitiful twitter feed and the BBC's more frequently updated text feed.

Re: Exiles thread - Colchester (H)
That should never be the case when you're playing a three man midfield with one of the sitting in front of the back four. I guess our problem there is that Cisse can break up play but he can't do anything with the ball so there's no way into our midfield. Its got to out to the fullbacks who can only then go long or just long from the keeper or central defenders.

The full backs can run forward with the ball, or pass back to someone.Eat The Rich wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 3:42 pmThat should never be the case when you're playing a three man midfield with one of the sitting in front of the back four. Thompson is fuming constantly about no one collecting the ball or lack of options, he keeps passing it, then getting it back

Liking the look of him so far, seems to have a bit of bite and leadership about himessexfootball wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 3:46 pm Thompson is fuming constantly about no one collecting the ball or lack of options, he keeps passing it, then getting it back

Re: Exiles thread - Colchester (H)
Because apart from Thompson no one seems to know how to play the ball forwardessexfootball wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 3:46 pm Thompson is fuming constantly about no one collecting the ball or lack of options, he keeps passing it, then getting it back
