Not saying we could have kept it up all game, but when we went down to 10 we still looked the better team until we went 4-5-0. Great back to the walls performance but not sure it had to be like that. They are awful. Vigaro didn’t have a single save to make all game.

Excellent performances from all of Akinola, Brophy, Clay, Freeman and Abrahams but everyyone else was good too.

That was a proper resolute defensive display. I’m not enamoured with not having someone up top as you just invite pressure on however, to be fair it worked and we’ve turned in a draw when to last that long down to 10 on a wet and possibly heavy pitch is top stuff.

With 11 players we would have slaughtered them.

Don’t worry about pace, positional sense and awareness can give you a yard head start in anyone. Don’t forget he has not played for a long long time, and if he puts in a performance like that then we have ourselves a top defender in our ranks.

As for pace look at john Terry, slow as you like, but what a defender.
