You just know what this will lead to!
SNP Threatening to unilaterally hold another Scottish Referendum. I reckon this will be a catalyst for those who wanted to Remain, to do the same and go for another vote to rejoin, should it happen.

Not an official one but a ‘Vote of the people’ campaign. They have to start the ball rolling somewhere.

You couldn’t really blame them though. I’d like the UK to stay as it is, but they voted overwhelmingly against leaving, and they’ve been taken out against their will. It’s a bit rich claiming you’re taking back your sovereignty whilst denying them theres.

Re: You just know what this will lead to!
In 1975 we had a referendum to continue membership
Sorry 1972 was something else i was thinking about from memory .
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1975_Un ... referendum
The United Kingdom European Communities membership referendum, also known variously as the Referendum on the European Community (Common Market), the Common Market referendum and EEC membership referendum, took place under the provisions of the Referendum Act 1975 on 5 June 1975 in the United Kingdom to gauge support for the country's continued membership of the European Communities (EC) — often known at the time as the European Community and the Common Market — which it had entered two-and-a-half years earlier on 1 January 1973 under the Conservative government of Edward Heath. The Labour Party's manifesto for the October 1974 general election had promised that the people would decide through the ballot box whether to remain in the EC
Yes 17,378,581 67.23%
No 8,470,073 32.77%

Yes but all those who voted ‘Yes’ didn’t know what they were letting themselves in for. The Gammons who did vote aye have all gone, it wasn’t explained what we were getting into.
They vote to join a ‘Common Market ‘ with less than ten countries not a European State with 27 Countries!

That’s only true for very low skilled work, and if that’s the only kind of work you can do because you did not learn a trade, then you need to decide who’s responsibility that is. Of course it also ignores all the positive benefits of UK movement to other countriesStill wrong wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 10:20 pmA market of less than 12 countries all with similar wealth.Oiram wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 10:05 pm Yes but all those who voted ‘Yes’ didn’t know what they were letting themselves in for. 46 years was the EEC
In 1980 greece joined to make it 10
Solidarity & berlin wall etc led to further change .....
In 83 discussions were held to implement change in the EEC & transform to the EU
In 1986 ( 34 years ago ) the European single act was signed .
Then in 1993 it became the EU .

You might want to look at The Building trade to see the damage mass immigration has done.

People in whatever field they are in have fought long and hard for half decent employment conditions and have seen them eroded away by a plentiful supply of cheap labour from abroad.
Blair is a absolute disgrace to allow this to happen.
Its no coincidence that we now have 2 million working people going to food banks because employers can pay a pittance to 6 people sharing a house.
Also the government top up wages of millions of people because of this disgrace.
