I like how we always carry on going until the final whistle. Wouldn’t surprise me if we scabbed an equaliser

We played better when Danny was in charge for a few weeks ago when Ross had to self isolate for 10 days.

Not a good display at all. Hope this isn't the start of three consecutive defeats - 2 steps forward 2 steps back.

Much the same was said on this forum about DJ in his first few games that he played for us.Thor wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 4:50 pmWow. Give the man a chance.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 4:49 pm Freeman looks sh*t, extremely short of match sharpness, or both
Yes give him a chance of some minutes on the pitch before we rush to judgement.

Re: Exiles thread - Forest Green (H)
Poor game. How many times did we play the ball out of play today whilst under zero pressure? 6/7 times? Playing players out of position once more.
FGR were strong in the tackle, resolute in their shape and worked hard. Can you say the same about us?
We got what we deserved today.

In an Interview a while back Ross said Thomas had been
hit hard with coronavirus ,
It is possible that Norwich & Orient are looking after his health
Over anything else .

Re: Exiles thread - Forest Green (H)
Disappointing result, but Forest Green are obviously a decent side. Think the frustration is that as was said earlier, it feels like we're only a couple of signings in key positions away from having a really good team. We have an excellent keeper, two very talented centre backs, one of the best strikers at this level and absolutely loads of wingers/attacking midfielders/strikers, so can mix things up. But even looking past replacing Ling, we still need a left back and someone less half arsed than Cisse, who despite being obviously talented, absolutely coasts through games.

Whilst I don’t know Freeman as a player what I can see he has a nice touch, he’s got his head up and looking to bring others into the game. Not playing first team football hits your fitness hard, yes he will be fit, but being fit and match fit are too different things entirely. He will come good for us based on what I saw today of that I’m sure.

Nope, that's not true - Brophy has let in several crosses from his side. I like Brophy, but he's not a defender.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 3:37 pmDisagree.
There’s been one cross in from their right. Went to the back stick and ling turned it around for the corner, despite having no one near him. It’s just that the commentator deliberately made a big deal out of slamming Brophy for it.

Totally agree, the nepotism at our club is sickening and costing our promotion hopes big time.

These 3 are talking about changes to the team and none of them mention Sam Ling. Unbelievable.

Re: Exiles thread - Forest Green (H)
Then send him back or if he's just with us for training get someone else in, anything to get Ling out the XI. Or how about play Turley who is better than Ling in every aspect.
Typical club PR, getting fed up of how certain things are now off limits to the pundits. Pathetic really.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 5:10 pm These 3 are talking about changes to the team and none of them mention Sam Ling. Unbelievable.

I always mute the sound when they're on tbh - nothing new to offer, just toeing the company line.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 5:10 pm These 3 are talking about changes to the team and none of them mention Sam Ling. Unbelievable.

Yes agree you need to play football regularly to get your confidence and sharpness back.Thor wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 5:05 pmTrue Sid and I told everyone he was good and would come good.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 5:00 pmMuch the same was said on this forum about DJ in his first few games that he played for us.

Personally I was very pleased when his karate kick got us out the plastic cup. Play him at RB leave Akinola and Happe CB, that pairing works.

Rush of blood to the head really silly thing to do especially by the halfway line. Can't remember what he did for the first yellow?

We definitley need a 30 year old Championship/League 1 CH
With a yard of pace , to pair with Akinola or Happe .
Akinola is decent but Small Happe has no pace & susceptible to a Red .
Coulson Just too Slow now , Turley Just Not at it this sesson .
No defensive leader running things .

Re: Exiles thread - Forest Green (H)
Yeah agreed, they need a bit more leadership back there. Even if they had an experienced full back alongside them would help, but they haven’t got that.

Re: Exiles thread - Forest Green (H)
Akinola and Happe don’t need leadership back there, they’re playing well together. What they need and what we need are a RB who doesn’t give away 5 chances a game and to either play Widdowson or get another LB in
