Re: Bye bye Josh.
Just remembered the game against Bradford last season where I completely forgot he was playing until about 10-15 minutes in, when the Bradford fans started booing loudly and I realised he'd touched the ball for the first time.

Quality night that. Thought we would comfortably stay up on the coach on the way home. Think that was our last point of the season.

It’s always his sort of player that are the badge kissers and heart punchers, ain’t it?

Re: Bye bye Josh.
Scored a very sentimental goal against Cheltenham, put in some decent shifts over the past couple of seasons and seemed to be a decent professional.
Wonder if he’s got a new club lined up or if he’s packing in the professional game for good. Seemed to be relatively fit without any major injury issues so you’d think he has a couple of years left in him.
Good luck to him.

Also a good sign that we've started clearing out the deadwood.
You know they’re sorting out a new 2 years deal as we type, don’t you?

His scoring record wasn't bad, we certainly don't get enough goals from mid field at presentComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 7:46 pm To all those saying he wasn't any good for us, I would like to remind them he was top scorer last season

Re: Bye bye Josh.
Often felt he would run more to make it look like he was involved than being so.
Morecambe away was one such hidden in plain site performance.
Good luck to him, maybe with a different set of players he will do a bit better
Crawley with his z list celeb brother awaits?

I’m not good at maths but wouldn’t that mean he scored more than the other players we had in the team?BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 8:09 pmSo what?ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 7:46 pm To all those saying he wasn't any good for us, I would like to remind them he was top scorer last season

Also means he had the biggest contribution to a positive goal difference, so erm yeah, that’s so what

There is no saved wages (not this season anyway) as his contract would be paid up in full.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 7:01 pm He won’t have been cheap.
Assuming we’re able to use the money saved on another midfielder, and not simply save Nige and Kent a few bob, this is bloody great news.
All this ‘thanks for your efforts’ and help cared about the club’ is a load of bollocks.

How would it? Surely it’d be nothing or a nominal fee as it’s a mutual agreement, not us releasing him on a freeThor wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 5:47 amThere is no saved wages (not this season anyway) as his contract would be paid up in full.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 7:01 pm He won’t have been cheap.

Re: Bye bye Josh.
Likeable guy but ultimately a bit too ineffective. You could see the improvement we had when Cisse came in last season and McAnuff this. Hardly surprising he would go in January.
He might do with the spare time to promote his training app for next week and I’m sure he’ll end up at Crawley too.

Ha ha, imagine playing Leeds with just 9 men
Didn’t realise his brother was doing a tv show, makes sense he’ll go there for that.

I doubt we’d be getting a fee for him.Story of O wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 9:03 am If he wanted to leave could we not have transferred him to Crawley.
This way is simpler, both agree to terminate the contract early, we save 6 months money, he can try and be a reality star.
