Re: Programme seller Brian Church R.I.P
So hear this sad news. He was passionate and vocal during a match for sure. More interactive with what was going on than some of the coaches. The fellow in the shorts was a different person? He wore shorts more often than the old Landlord , McCann, in the Warren Wood and he wore them 365 days a year.

Yeah i know him now. Used to get my programmes off him before the game. Gave him a tenner and he'd give me the change "a 2 and a blue". A right character, he will be missed. RIP.

Shorts guy - what a legend. Tbh he's the only programme seller I remember as he was selling them in the early/mid 90s when I first started going to games.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 4:26 pm that the one that always wore shorts and went mental at the officials for the last 10 mins of every home game?

Re: Programme seller Brian Church R.I.P
I often bought my programme from him outside the West stand towards the TJS end.
Very sad, and I hope it wasn’t COVID related, although it’s sad whatever the reason.
Others on Facebook have mentioned that he worked at M and S at Stratford and will be missed.
RIP Brian .

Such a shame, I always bought my programme off him and he’d speak to my family every home game.

RIP Brian. A character & fan too. He used to stand in the enclosure in front of the East stand. Had a booming voice then often directed at the away manager (they used to sit over that side of the ground)
