My daughter sat next to someone at school who tested positive for the week leading up to their test and was fine.
I was convinced that we were going to get it and we're all fine.
I'm not convinced.
In my sons class, 13 out of 30 had it in mid December. In my daughters class, 11 out of 31 had it during that same spell.

Fair play for being honest with yourself. I suspect that, notwithstanding any opinions about the credibility of the opposition at the time, there's plenty more feeling the same as you are are just not willing to admit it yet. As someone else has alluded to further up this thread, if the government messes up the vaccine roll-out then that should be the straw that breaks the camel's back.
My daughter was due to take her A-Levels this year, so am absolutely gutted for her. She's received offers from top universities, and is due to find out if she has a place at Oxford next week. But all of this will be based on expected exam results, which are all now up in the air. I'd like to say that I'm shocked that the DoE doesn't already have contingency plans in place for exam disruption given what happened last year, but I'm not.
Sorry to hear about your daughter it must be pony to be having to go through a major life change in a time like this.
I doubt there's many believe Bojo when they say they're gonna have rolled out 13 million vaccines by mid feb 10 months of over promising and under delivering have seen to that. That will lead some people to break the rules as they've had enough of adherence and life not getting better and more cases and deaths. I'm just hoping my parents in their early seventies get the vaccine as soon as.
Looking forward to seeing a graph about how its only disabled people and old people dying, and us normies only account for a tiny percentage and therefore everything is ok.
In Kent the hospitals have had only nominal flu intakes for this time of year. 30% of medical staff are off work. With many off after having the Pfizer jab. Hence resources are stretched.

Seems a bit unfair, they definitely went against the grain, but hadnt seen anything on there that was untrue, although not an avid listener/viewer.
