Saw Parasite last night. Can see why it’s the first non-English language film to win an Oscar (Roma should have won last year, mind).

La Vita è Bella should have won Best Picture in 1999. Astounding performance from Roberto Begnini and probably the second best Holocaust film out there. Impressive/unsurprising that the Academy picked one of the worst films to ever be nominated (Shakespeare In Love) over the likes of this and the mildly schlocky but otherwise overwhelmingly marvellous Saving Private Ryan.

"Les Diabolique" A fabulous film that Hitchcock just about missed out on.
That is one of many films that I enjoy.

"Sunset Blvd" and "Double Indemnity" (Both by Billy Wilder) are super.

Give me the cinema over the T V any day.

Hbo Max showed it Xmas day the same time as it hit usa cinemas.

Just watched unbreakable, never seen it even though its 20 years old i was very impressed with it, very clever.

but I will go for Bridge over the River Kwai

First one my favourite of all time. Nicholson a class Actor. All the supporting actors just superb. Scatman Crothers who played Mr .Turkle went on to play another part in The Shining with Jack Nicholson and many other films.

I was a bit disappointed with it. I thought the concept was amazing, but the movie didn't utilise it to the best it could have
