I honestly don’t know what his end game is, I’ve said that all along.
Well you seem to think the Championship is the end game and Kent has got millions to throw at it to achieve it.
I think you are going to be disappointed.
I believe the club will be run on a similar line to when Tony Wood and Barry Hearn were in charge.
Top six wage bill while we are in L2 and a top half wage bill when in L1.
With decent management from top to bottom, we should achieve that within the next three years.
Steady growth, that is the game.
No, I dont know why Teague is here or what his plan is.

But I’m pretty sure it isn’t to run a loss making/break even, mid table, average L1 team.
They have a plan. Part 1 completed- 1-3 years ahead of schedule. We are likely to have play-off budgets in League two and one( if we get their)

The aim is a promotion every 3-5 years. Finances are in place for 9/10 seasons.

That's the basis of there plan. If you want to know why he is here, ask him. There is plenty of opportunity usually during the season.

We are North and East London's favourite 2nd club. The Trophy final attendance tells the story of our potential fanbase. Prem footy is super expensive and sold-out every week. No reason with a strong L1 or championship side we couldn't pull in 12 to 15k
Exciting times with the right owners / commercial team!

How are we going to pull in 12 to 15k when we have a ground that holds less than 10k?
This is fantasy land stuff. I have been a supporter since 1972 and our fan base has never been more than 5 to 6 k, and that was in the mid 70s when we were aChampionship club.
You can have the best commercial team in the world, the fact is only a very successful team will command serious sponsorship.

By the way we also sold 25000 tickets for the 1978 semi final, still only had a quarter of that turn up for league games.

In due course our progress will always be limited by the ground. Easy to see why so many clubs are building new grounds or stands as attendances at grounds reach record levels. Any expansion for us is forever limited with restricted growth opportunities in our current stadium, flats taking up the available growth space and an office block West Stand.

People perhaps expect modern facilities too, an enjoyable match day experience.watching football.

We have a League one set up and despite the odd fluctuations between Championship and League two it’s the best we can ever hope for.

Agree totally.
L1 is a sensible and achievable aim.
Anything above that we will be whipping boys unless we acquire a new stadium.
Don’t think the owners have that sort of money or ambition.

I don’t know what you’re arguing.

I think were in agreement about where our place is in the natural order of things. Based on our fanbase and our existing ground capacity, top of L1 is the best we can hope for.

But why would KT stump up £4-5 m to date, a figure that will keep on rising, just to preside over a team of that size. It doesn’t make sense. You can get your ego flattered a whole lot more for a whole lot less money a whole lot easier if that’s what it’s about.

Everything that’s going on off the pitch tells you that bigger plans are afoot.

As things stand losing two of the best players and the untimely death of Justin Edinburgh, the 4,500 target seems very optimistic.

https://www.leytonorient.com/news/2019/ ... -priority/

The O’s will compete in the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and EFL Trophy this season and should any of these competitions see us earn a significant tie – home or away - then ticket priority will go to Season Ticket holders first.

Ticket priority may also be used for selected away league fixtures, should demand outweigh supply. This was used last season on a number of occasions, particularly towards the conclusion of the campaign as the O’s edged closer to promotion.

Barring a plum cup tie and the trip to Crawley at the end of the season, I don’t see too many games where priority will be needed.

For me the main reason for having STs were cost saving, plus not having the aggravation of ordering/purchasing/collecting tickets on match days, plus the priority over non season ticket holders.

The cost saving has all but disappeared, the club have shown that the priority over non ST holders doesn't really come into it with the Solihull fiasco so the only reason for me to renew is so that I don't have to order/collect tickets. I'm not sure that's a strong enough reason to warrant paying £400 up front. Especially as I can't see us selling out at home at all this season after events of the last week.

They post the tickets for £1. I made the mistake of collecting an extra ticket for Eastleigh game where the queue cost me 45 minutes of drinking time (arguably saving me more money ;) )

I can only attend one of the first 6 home games, so I will just get a day ticket for the opening game, buy the football for a fiver tickets, pay on the day when I can make it and see how things stand in early January and look at getting half season tickets like last season.

I don’t expect any sell outs except the £5 games. Looking at last 3 home games, I wouldn’t expect Morecambe or Salford (holiday Monday) to have many away fans. Exeter may bring up to 500 for final game, but Orient could still sell top section of East Stand with those numbers.

Not sure how the children have been priced out, £49 from £9 is still cracking value for money. My adult price increase was probably fine as well. Our prices are very competitive and if you were to compare them against the rest of the league our prices are the 16th most expensive. Again good value for money.
It’s £59. That’s a massive increase for those kids who ain’t multi-millionaires.
They would need a similar increase in their pocket money too, which impacts negatively on their parents.

Its a bargain really...........£2.30 for 90 minutes entertainment, is quite a good deal these days.
There are sure to be other offers as well, and hopefully we will make some decent signings to encourage people to buy a season ticket.
I bought my concession Gallery Ticket at £419 which is just over £18 a game...............I think its about £30 for a single ticket so a its been a great saving in my opinion.
Anyone know how many we`ve sold so far ??

Circa 3500 based on the Travis video. That was before Bonne and Koroma. Lucky to get 4000 now. I doubt any new signings will get more people excited.

I really can’t see how Teague’ll get his money back, unless we get to be an established PL fixture, which is pretty unlikely. I’ve seen a few references on here to “the Brentford model”, who have adopted a moneyball strategy to punch above their “natural” position. But investor Benham is currently owed over £100m, they still lose money despite winning on transfers, and even if he pockets the proceeds from the sale of Griffin Park AND the sale and leaseback jobbie on the new Kew Bridge ground, he’ll still be in the red. Again, they’ll need to sell out at their bigger new ground and become a PL fixture before he any chance of seeing a profit. Doable, as Bournemouth have shown, but again unlikely. Brentford finances details here:
