Nice chip shop in Dereham next to the Cinema.
Bet it is still there. Hope the Cinema is also and surviving the lockdowns.
Chip shop under new owners from about a year back, but still doing a roaring trade, and yes cinema still there
Nice to hear that! Used to go there regularly to shop, especially market day. Nice coffee in that old Portuguese cafe that has been there years. I had a holiday home near Bawdeswell
for years. Do miss going there, may buy another one day. So easy to get there from the hustle and bustle of London. Always enjoyed Christmas up there and the Kings Arms in Reepham.
It is perfectly valid to hold a view that sport and politics shouldn't mix, it does imply that one a racialist, and if one wants to express that opinion verbally it's an affront to free speech if they can't. If they start making racialistic insults or threats that is against the law and I'd want to see the person arrested as much as you all would, but you can't close down free speech to make people agree with you, for that's a very dangerous path to be on.
Not sure that contradicts anything Max said.
Interestingly you’ve said in one line that people should have free speech, and in the next you’ve said you’d want someone arrested for doing so!?
To clarify it always has to be free speech within the law, one can't go around threatening and abusing people for example, that's just wrong and is an offence (and rightly so). Booing isn't an offence, it is an expression of disagreement, and that right to free speech (within the law) must be maintained. I’d suggest existing laws on race and free speech are good enough, let’s not try to rewrite them for within football grounds.
Fair enough, I guess.
People have the right to boo an anti racism gesture. But the delicate little snowflakes shouldn’t take offence when people call them racist c***s.

As ronnie said, thats fair enough but the same people seem to be upset about others free speech in calling them racists, closet or otherwise.
And in this case, it isn't about the law. A company has stipulated rules you agree to upon entering the ground. Much like I have right of free movement, but cant just run on the pitch when Sam Ling scores a volley, I can also legally take photos of almost anything with my 50mm lens, but if i did it in the ground I would be told not to.
Is that restricting some of my rights? Probably but the rules are there for a reason. Boo and you get yanked out of the ground, end of.
Sorry and thanks, nothing surprises me with some of these chaps here! Some seem so sensitive at times! I kind of sensed it with the ‘italic font’. How you managed that is beyond me!
The worrying thing is that the snowflakes didn't even pick up on the fact that I was taking the mick out of them
Yeah, your high brow wit went over everyone’s head
No, not at all, it's that you and a few others here are stupid. (No offence meant)

It's been said before, but it seems to be needed again.
People a mixing up "free speech" with "consequence-free speech". Sad.
So calling someone a racist c*** is consequence free speech is it?
Well I guess the consequence would be that the racist c*** would feel all butthurt and tearful and go on the internet to complain, but as that would be the intended consequence there's no problem.

Well I suggest that calling someone a racist c*** to their face could well result in more than a complaint on the internet.
