I'm beginning to think they're trolling us deliberately now.

Beginning to smell of desperation I think. It would have been much more informative if he had said something about new players
coming in.

Was a great player in his day. And yes, it all seems a bit desperate to me. Wonder if we will match the 4000.MalvoliO wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2019 3:29 pmBladder - looks like Mr Travis' statement announces we have signed some fella called Malcolm Graham.Blackadder wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2019 3:10 pm Beginning to smell of desperation I think. Clearly the uptake of kids tickets hasn't been successful, which is understandable. Although there is still a month to go until the deadline is up.
Re: We have sold 3250 ST's and targeting 4500
WIth that second concession ticket offer we might have phantom women as well as phantom kids next year.
Can't knock Travis at all, hope that the club find an angle for others to make an advertisement. Although let's hope that we don't get preoccupied with figures. Real organic growth is the key, although it is easy to conflate that with attendances.
I am sure the club have plenty of marketing gimmicks left up their sleeves. Perhaps 5,000 season ticket holders next season could be on.

Whilst mr cream might be right with his assumption, I actually think it’s good that the club is trying different routes to sell tickets.

£59 for an Under 11s ticket is a bargain really, but once he or she hits 12 then it almost doubles to £109.CreamofSumYungGai wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2019 4:16 pm Clearly the uptake of kids tickets hasn't been successful, which is understandable. Quite a hike really and quite a lot if you have three kids over 11, however it should add value to the ticket and stop people buying them and hardly using them,
Many fans will of course re-new during June, and some after, so still plenty of time to make the 4,500 target.

When the mind-blowing signings get announced, watch these figures skyrocket.

I think we will hit that target as well. The team has done well, the feel good factor is there and we are moving forwards in light rather than looking back at the dark.

To be honest I think a lot of people will be waiting to see how serious the club are and will hold off getting a season ticket till they see clear evidence of ambition by making quality signings.Disoriented wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2019 11:59 am When the mind-blowing signings get announced, watch these figures skyrocket.

An Amazing achievement winning the league and getting promoted but we cannot live on last years fantastic achievements.
Where are the quality signings to enable us to challenge for promotion this year ?

I beg to differ, there has been no evidence of large season ticket sales above 3250, so clearly there has to be a reason

I still reckon the vast majority of fans will have purchased already. There will be some of us holding off for financial reasons and will renew closer to the deadline but not many.
I doubt there are many, if any, undecided or waiting to see what we do in the transfer market.

We will be up about the same level of sales if we are lucky, last year was an exceptional effort to to get over 4000 sold, I would imagine we have a couple of thousand or so who can't commit to coming every home game who can't or don't want to buy a season ticket who contribute to the gate on a regular/ semi regular basis.
I agree there will only be a fickle few waiting to see what happens with transfers they will be the same ones disappointed year in year out by our signings who will never be good enough for them. It's almost like some people couldn't wait for last season to end so they start to pick holes in club strategy again as quite a few did last season.

For me personally, I started watching the O’s when we were in the old second division (now championship) and want to see us where I believe we truly belong back in the Championship and will not be happy to we get back there.Top of the West. wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2019 8:12 pmThis.CreamofSumYungGai wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2019 7:29 pm I still reckon the vast majority of fans will have purchased already. Forgive me for having ambition but that is what is needed, not resting on our laurels!

Re: We have sold 3250 ST's and targeting 4500
I have been watching the Os for 50 years and am happy with the way things are being run at the moment, we as a club are moving steadily in an upward direction again and this close season will probably pan out much the same as many of the previous 49. The club only released its retained list two weeks ago, re engaged three top players who were out of contract in week one and have many of the staff who worked tirelessly last season on holiday as are the majority of players looking for clubs no doubt.. what part of that is resting on its laurels?
Players will come in, obviously not as quickly as you want and they probably won't be good enough in your opinion either but The club is getting most things right so I'll wait and trust them to do what's best when it's possible.
I wouldn't say you are showing any more ambition than most other Os fans, just more impatience tbh.

You're just making it up! It was literally a week ago that the 3250 figure was announced.PoundhillO wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2019 7:28 pmReal Al wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2019 6:40 pmNo. No, it's just you. Mr Sunshine.PoundhillO wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2019 2:52 pm

Do you want a personal e-mail every time a ticket is sold?
