OK. What's the address? (and do you have lots of weapons and tinned food that will need protecting)Clive Evans wrote: ↑Sat Dec 12, 2020 5:24 pm I need volunteers to help me sharpen staves for the stockade around my house, come February.

Re: Brexit
One point of note, which is not taking centre stage, is that because of covid, many shipping containers are in the wrong part of the world. Until things get back to normal all countries are going to have shortages of various things.
So the extra stuff that is coming through the ports now is just a build up of past uncompleted orders not necessarily anything to do with Brexit.

I think that anyone who has doubts about our fishing industry should watch Spencer Tracey in ‘ The Old Man and the Sea’.
Like our mining and youngsters, they did not want to go down the pit, similarly kids did not want to go to sea for their working life either.
I think our fishing industry will grow again like our Beer Brewing renewed ‘Kraft’ resurgence. Let’s see?

I wouldn’t trust any of them but was shocked at what I heard from him unless I heard wrong. Must recheck as was very early Clive Bull show I think.

Re: Brexit
Reckon all the ‘expect a no deal’ stuff is lies, right?
So Boris and the EU look good in the next week when they come out, miraculously, with a deal that Parliament now feel they HAVE to approve because it’s better than the almost certain prospect of a no deal we were all told about?
Or am I just synicle?

Oh, nailed on. Watching people, especially seasoned correspondents, going on about a no deal outcome being most likely. It was always going to play out this way.

Re: Brexit
I am going to say Brexit deal has already been made, and it will be announced probably on Christmas Eve.
This would mean, the ERG will not be able to slag Johnson off as much for conceding our soverentee!, to the EU .
Johnson would then hope he'll be hailed the hero, with the electorate, for pulling off a 'last minute' deal

Could be a deal announced tonight. I honestly don't think I give a f*** about the details, so long as this phase is passed.
