Salford already
Spending big. Got Richie Towell from Rotherham who was playing in the championship last season. Can't help but think they're, again, going to be the ones to beat this season.

Re: Salford already
Spending big. How much? Released by BHA so presumably on a free. Last season played for a relegated club. Looks a decent enough signing but hardly startling.

Re: Salford already
Couldn't have put that better myself. As you say, four attempts, four losses...
How ridiculous to gloat at Salfords expense.

Exactly Jimbo, it don't matter how much you spend it's where you finish is what counts and we did exactly that.
Personally I don't care about them. Yes they are doing good things, but I'm more interested in the good things we as a club are doing.

The season is over. Time to dwell on good things going forward. So far, there aren’t any.

Re: Salford already
I still wouldn't bet against them finishing at least in the play off places next season . It remains to be seen what quality of players we end up signing.

Orient fans do love to sh*t their pants about other teams and there's even a nice clickbait thread title to go with it.

Re: Salford already
I think most fans would. If you look at Man City's spending power for example. Most of the Premier League must be sh1tt1ng 1t.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2019 12:35 pm Orient fans do love to sh*t their pants about other teams and there's even a nice clickbait thread title to go with it.
Look deeper into it though.Salford are signing one player...so far and one is leaving.(or more)

Re: Salford already
You're talking about league winning Man City with a track record of success. Orient fans sh*t themselves over any other team though because we have a lot of weak minded fans.Howling Mad Murdock wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2019 12:55 pmI think most fans would.

Re: Salford already
Lets remember where we have come from and that a solid mid table finish might be whats in order, as opposed to yoyo-ing up and down leagues - runnung before we can walk- Some consolidation before we push on again.
Salford are doing it their way, lets do it ours! UP the O's

Re: Salford already
Not so much of a track record like the Liverpools and Man Utd's.Even Chelski started earlier but wasn't that impressive beforehand.Man City's has come in under the last ten years.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2019 12:59 pmYou're talking about league winning Man City with a track record of success. Can't see why you think they are any specially more weak minded just because they are Orient fans. That's like the old adage every cyclist jumps red lights or every black cab driver is a good driver.

Re: Salford already
I'm not sure what point you're making about Chelsea, black cab drivers etc, but it's not relevant to my experience of Orient fans from here, social media and at games. Based on that we have a lot of very weak minded fans and pants sh*tters.Howling Mad Murdock wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2019 1:09 pmNot so much of a track record like the Liverpools and Man Utd's.Even Chelski started earlier but wasn't that impressive beforehand.Man City's has come in under the last ten years.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2019 12:59 pmYou're talking about league winning Man City with a track record of success. Re: Salford already
Understand that. But they’ve signed a guy on a two year contract, so will we. Did so with Gorman and Alabi for instance, the former costing a fee I believe. Is he on megabucks? Or is he just a routine addition to the squad on L2 wages. Nothing to get excited about. Decent enough player looking at his record.
Don’t doubt Salford will sign more players and I dare say they will continue to buy their way to the Championship. We don’t have that kind of funding so will be more reliant on the shrewdness of our signings, our youth and our manager. Worked last season.
