They are there to challenge the decisions of
Her Maj's Govt aren't they ?
Isnt that how politics works ?
For some who claims to know how politics work you seem to struggle on how negotiations work.
For someone who knows how politics works
One realises that to get your way you have to
Think at the same level as those less clever .
Or when negotiating you don’t start by telling everybody what you are prepared to accept. Having reached an agreement where the other party feels they have won when in reality you have conceded far less than you were originally prepared too is good negotiation, but you have to have broad shoulders.

How does abstaining on bill vote mean you
Are negotiating ?
You are saying you disagree completely &
Therefore will not be responsible for it .

You want £4K for a car. You advertise for £5k. A buyer knocks you down to £4.25k you accept. The buyer claims the win, the seller gets more than he wanted. Who is the real winner. Poor example, but a lifetime working with people negotiating deals. Appearances can be deceptive. Hence my broad shoulders comment.

Bad example. But good negotiating, negotiating impacts all parts of life, including politics. You know that as much as I do.

Thousands of businesses are going bust and millions of people are losing their livelihood (and then potentially their homes) as a consequence of Covid and Brexshit - yet in the world of the Tory elite there are ever more rich pickings!
Even the PM's latest female partner can now bestow wealth to her mates!
Absolutely shocking, but not unexpected. E10 I've said it on here many times they all look after themselves and couldn't give two hoots for the ordinary man women or child.

No, you don’t get to excuse the crooks in your Tory party like this. This is purely about them.
Second highest covid spending of any country in the developed world. One of the highest death rates. Deepest economic impact.
I don't understand why this isn't headline or near headline news every single day. I don't understand why supposed patriots aren't furious. We're going to live with the consequences of this momentous f*ck up for decades. Break up of the UK, battered public finances, deepened distrust of government, lower earnings, higher taxes, further shredding of public services and social support.
These Cold War Steve images. I see them on Twitter all the time and they're clearly liked by many. But I'm just not getting what it is about them that is supposed to be smart or funny. I mean, the first one or two sort of grabbed my attention a bit but the novelty soon wore off.
Am I missing the point or something? Is it just a satirical gimmick? I appreciate that having to explain a joke kind of ruins it, but I'm not entirely sure there is still a joke to be ruined.

Agree 100%. Not one of them has been remotely funny and it seems only Tiffers finds them amusing.
