Which tells us exactly nothing. Thanks anyway.ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 11:42 am Another way of looking at this signing is Johnson is a direct replacement for Alabi. Will he be an improvement on Alabi? Probably, yes

Re: Danny Johnson Incoming?
Seen a couple of his goals on youtube. One was an excellent, left footed shoot, from about 20yards out from goal, across the
Celtic goalie into the far corner. He does seem to have a very good, hard, left footed shot on him. Here's hoping.

Yup...Kitch’s Magic Toes wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 1:17 pm He is fantastically average. A nothing player who gets the odd tap-in. I’d be disappointed if we land him.

Stick with me and you’ll learn this game ladsMillennial Snowflake wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 6:49 pmHe wasn't ready for League football when he was 17/18 (at Boro/Hartlepool), that's hardly an indicator of his current level is what I'm saying. He was 21 when he last played in League 2 (Stevenage/Tranmere) - 21 is still very young for most footballers. I think he'll have developed a lot since then, so again I wouldn't take 2 short loan spells 5 years ago as strong evidence that he won't make it with us.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 6:38 pmHe never made it in the Football League despite many opportunities is my point. He was 21 when he last played in the Football League, seems to have matured a lot since then. Hilarious that you use his time as a kid against him as well.
As Angol and Wilkinson are clearly on first-choice wages, this is probably a good a signing as we could have hoped for. Strong record at a lower level and coming into his prime, clearly the club thinks that’s worth a gamble. We were never gonna break the bank and sign someone with an exceptional scoring record at this level.
He didn't make it in Scotland and Championship Dundee are delighted to let him go 5 months into the season.
Anyway he's here now so good luck to him. But why he got an 18 month contract is beyond my comprehension.
Who would you have liked us to sign?
