Embleton's team for Saturday
Its not that easy to second guess Ross's team selection for next Saturday but after seeing the team selection and formation last Saturday I will give it my best shot looking at the 'patterns'. Keeping to the successful 3 -5 2 formation that has been so successful. I think that Ross will 'simply' want to tweak it. This is how I think Ross will see it.
GK Sargeant (Vigs needs a 'rest' similar to Johnson)
Right hand side of back three - Ling (dependable at the back and he sort of scored - that's why I put in Dennis after scoring against Charlton kids)
CB Widdowson - (Admittedly hes played left back all his career and hes now in his 30's but i'm adamant that he can make a decent centre back)
Left hand side of back three - Brophy (wasted up front with his dribbling and his assists. Best to move to left to replace Widdowson who has moved middle where he should have played all his career. )
Right wing back Akinola (Admittedly hes came across as a centre half from West Ham but far too easy to put him in that position. Looks like hes a little laid back at RB so lets try him in this position in this new successful formation.
Centre Midfield Dayton (Admittedly , hes played right wing all his career but feel now that hes in his 30's that he can transform into a tough tackling midfielder where he can show his strengths.
Centre Midfield Cisse -( he can pass sideways to wright with no penetration but our possession stats will look good)
Centre midfield Wright - (he can pass sideways to Cisse with no penetration but our possession stats will look good)
Left wing back - Soitrou - (Although he likes to play centrally and shoot on sight in front of goal I recently tried him on the wing. However, as left wing back this 'will give him even more space for him to run into'.
Sitting behind centre forward - Kyprianou ( Tried him in midfield and then tried him as a centre half. I'm gonna really show him my tactical know how and give him his third position in three games playing him in the hole behind our lone striker.
Lone striker - Dennis . Has all the attributes to be a top striker. Hard working, close control, can hold the ball up, goal machine - I saw it all against the Charlton kids.
Subs Johnson - he needs a longer rest.

4-4-2
Viggers
Thomas Happe Akinola Widdowson
JMD Cisse Clay Brophy
Johnson Wilkinson
If Clay is still injured I’d start with Kyprianou
If you’ve noticed, no square pegs in round holes. Everybody in their strongest position and everybody knows what they’re doing

Very creative, lots of new ideas, I'm sure if you continue along theses lines R oss will soon come calling for you, I'm sure we will zoom up the league with your ideas on board

Re: Embleton's team for Saturday
I know the original post is meant to be sarcastically written but to be fair it's not far from what is actually happening.
That team could very well play in the coming weeks. I wouldn't put it past 'Boss' to do it.

Re: Embleton's team for Saturday
Maybe Sid can enlighten us to the new Ross formation, I’ve never seen it played, but Sid might have.
2-3-5
Our forwards will rip the opposition a new one and hopefully our 2 defenders will resist all attacks for 90 mins which is entirely possible having kept at least one clean sheet this season. With 5 forwards attack will be our best form of defence.

Sotiriou is not a patch on Mooney at left wing back. If only we still had him

Re: Embleton's team for Saturday
Great post Four Four Two & all that is unfortunately how it seems Ross looks at his formation & tactics.
It's not about hating Ross, I don't think anyone actually hates him but it is quite obvious he hasn't a clue what he's doing & has only got or taken the job by default.
While he's in charge the team isn't going nowhere & its also not good to watch either.
I heard a rumour that some of our fans & possibly some are on here that think because they can't watch the games this season doesn't matter & because they drink with Ross & say he's a nice bloke well that's ok aswell then.
Being a nice bloke doesn't make a good coach & that's also a selfish attitude to take for the rest of the loyal fanbase just because you have a few beers with him.
Maybe when you've had a few & built up some courage tell him 2 shots at goal in 96 minutes on Saturday ain't good enough.
