Jurgen Klopp explains why Mohamed Salah has been dropped for Liverpool vs Everton Comment
Your point is JR ?
Both Leicester and Liverpool have the luxury of other forwards, we however at this stage do not. Playing Danny in a dead rubber game is stupid to say the least
The point you made was dropping a too svorer .
Something Leicester & Liverpool both dd !!

My original post was a question, Did we ever drop Macca I thought he played in every game since he joined us, I can't even remember him being injured either

Re: need a rest
Total nonsense.
Tennis players play day after day, sometimes 5 setters.
To say a professional footballer can’t play two games a week is daft.
Mind you this resting hasn’t worked has it?
What’s that now? 5 defeats?

To say the modern day footballer can’t perform 2 games a week after a 5 month break is too ridiculous.
Blimey the ball is out of play for a good chunk of time or played at a walking pace passing it from side to side.
Well we do anyway.

And a heck of a lot of travelling and intense training, and I don’t mean 3 hours of standing around listening to coaches feeding the players rubbish about the opposition.

Tennis is sh*t, although they do is throw the ball in the air, whack it as hard as they can invariably without it being returned, then wait a couple of minutes and do it again. Anyone can do that, even footballers from the 60s and 70s.

Mr Bonne played about 46 games and scored 23 goals in his last season for us. It may shock you to learn that he only scored 3 in his last 15 games. Perhaps he could have done with a rest!

No one is saying they can't. The obviously are. It's a case of if they SHOULD.
They could play 365 times a year, I'm sure. But the quality of their performance would be rubbish, obviously. Which is why rest, to be at optimum performance, is so important.
Baffling how much people struggle with this concept.

There are loads, but the Chelsea team of 2003/04 under Ranieri who finished second to the Arsenal invincibles team are a particularly top of mind example of a team that changed their lineups in most of their games. I actually think he should be given a fair crack of the whip and build himself into the job, but he continues to make the same mistakes over and over again.
3 at the back, then 4 at the back, then 5. it’s all over the shop.
A manager should not put players in positions they are uncomfortable with, and every good manager has to get people buy into what he is doing. That goes with any industry.
It just looks a mess.
Ross has to be given the full season, but I am beginning to doubt that he will come up to scratch.
