He lost me at the start when he mentioned that the formation worked in parts against Charlton on Tuesday night.

It didn't work against Charlton.

We were useless against Charlton.

Both teams mainly played children in their formation vs Charlton.

The message is inconsistent too, at the end when talking about perspective he mentions the JPT game as being mainly irrelevant but also praised Dennis and the formation in that game.

Man oh man. Dennis is utter pony and the game was a rotated Orient team against a rotated Charlton team. That's a shocker.

• fans who criticise him don't know what they're talking about, what makes them think they're qualified to manage professionally?

time for some clearer heads to prevail, I think. But I worry that Travis has allowed Ling and his acolytes to burrow themselves too deeply into the fabric of the Club. It will be painful and expensive to extract them all.

I can’t defend him any longer, but I feel the owners should still give him until the end of the season.

Glad that t i fully understand now why we changed a winning team and formation from the Bolton game. Its because we 'looked quite good' in our 3 1 DEFEAT to Charlton kids. Glad that i know now why Dennis played up front instead of one of the top goalscorers in the league in Johnson. Its because Dennis 'played well' against Charlton and Johnson needed a rest. Mmm , i must have been watching another game. It was Kyprianou who played well, not Dennis. As for Johnson, if he needed a rest, why put him on at all in the meaningless Charlton game to save him for this important one ?

There's nothing wrong to say you got it horribly wrong today with this unnecessary experiment that spectacularly backfired. Shame that Ross didn't simply hold his hands up. I don't blame the confused players at all today from this self inflicted fiasco.

My mate is a Charlton season ticket holder. He hadn't heard of 3 players in the first XI v. Orient on Tuesday such was their experience level.

They couldn't give him until the end of the season if we're in danger of going down. What would be more sensible is to give Ross until Christmas and see where we are then . I believe our squad is already in place to finish at least in mid table . The new manager could bring in one or two loans if necessary . The sort of manager I'd go for would be Graham Alexander.. I think he'd get more out of these players than Ross.

It has recently been stated that the club will lose £3m or so this year. As a result of this, despite Kent Teague expecting us to reach the play-offs this season, the club cannot afford to pay off Ross and his mates if the axe was wielded on them. Similarly, the club can't afford to bring in more than one or two cheapo players in the January window.

If you look on the club's website, there are hordes of backroom staff at the club and I wonder what many of them do, for what would be decent money, at a club in the bottom league. They all cost money and the two owners won't want to continue chucking a lot of money into the club only for it to be seeing out the season in the lower reaches of the league.

In a macabre way, the pandemic has probably meant that Embleton will keep his job longer than he might otherwise have done.
Ling isn't going to look for Embleton to be sacked any time soon. Having brought 3 managers to the club, he got lucky with the choice of Edinburgh but chose 2 dire managers in Davies and Fletcher. He pushed for Embleton to be given the job even though Embleton didn't want it. Ling doesn't now want to go to the owners to say that he made another bad choice.
Beelzebub had Angelieri cocking things up when he was not in the UK and the club's 2 owners now have Ling doing similar. Whilst Ling is backing Embleton he will remain. If the owners overrule Ling's thoughts on this then Ling should leave.
It is a bloody mess.

It’s a bit like a 1970s Nationalised company.
I can’t remember there being that many here on non jobs when Barry was running it.
