Re: Births Deaths And Marriages
My Dad passed away last night, after a short time in hospital, he was 89. I’m not even sure why I’m posting it on here, typing through a flood of tears. He supported the O’s all his life and the reason I support them. He used to live in Adelaide road in the 40’s and 50’s so a short walk from the ground, I miss him terribly already.

I do appreciate everyone’s thoughts, thanks, even as I read people’s differences of opinions on here I like to think that we all share at least one thing in common... the O’s .

Re: Births Deaths And Marriages
Sad to hear that SCS, Condolences to you and your family.
The day after my dad died we had a home game, I went because I knew that's where he would want me to be, The game passed me by and I cried throughout. I hope posting on here today and a win for the O's will give you some comfort and be a fitting way to remember your Dad.
RIP.

RIP to Brian Murdoch, the pie maker at Aggborough. If you never had a Kiddy awayday pie, you missed out.
And belated condolences to softee. My dad wasn’t a big football fan, never mind an O, but I still miss him something rotten after 20 years.

Re: Births Deaths And Marriages
Sorry to read this SCS, the death of parents is a natural thing (the alternative is so much worse) but that doesn't make the loss any easier.

He was always a good sport was Des, always took the Morecambe and Wise humour with a sense of self-deprecation - they were friends of course. Another entertainer from my youth departs. R.I.P.

RIP Ray - what a goal keeper. Only 72. Cancer - b*stard disease.
We had the two best in the world for years in him and Shilton.
