Nope, none at all.

You don't see the Prime Minister's inner circle in civil war, with his chief spin doctor and advisor saying they're quitting (because of said war) in 7 weeks as headline news?

Well, she shouldn't. And I think that part of the story is a little manufactured but I guess she has a bigger part to play than most PM's spouses in as much as she used to work in Comms for the Conservative Party so she's got personal relationships with the actors involved.

Re: Tory Watch
I imagine they are about to do a deal, yeah. An Australia type deal maybe? (I.e not really a deal of any note but nicer framing).
How did you vote PW? I reckon you're a remoaner.

Re: Tory Watch
Wouldnt be a suprise ro me if Johnson is
going to a deal with the EU to stay loyal to them .
None of them would be walking if it was a deal
In the sense of Australia Canada Japan etc .
In other words we'd have been better off staying in
because this is gonna cost more .
Nobody wins Leavers or moaners

Good question. She has never been elected for anything that gives her authority over us.
I guess it's simply a case of Johnson having to please her for a peaceful bedroom sphere.

Re: Tory Watch
I don't think it's about fooling the general public anymore. Everyone knows what they are like, the public just do not care.
Politics is about feeling, not substance. The public feels like the Tories get them and their wants and needs, so by default they do. Even if it's wrong for them or proven to not work or proven to harm, it is what they want and they are good at giving the public that feeling, so people feel satisfied enough.

Re: Tory Watch
What a curious similarity to the current US presidential election.
The world knows that Biden was lawfully elected yet a malevolent snake charmer still entices his followers to disbelieve and rampage in protest!

Re: Tory Watch
The EHRC is the supposedly neutral and exceedingly powerful board but they declined to investigate allegations of Tory party racism and xenophobia! They deemed the Tories capable of investigating themselves!!!Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 10:52 pm David Goodhart, fan of the Governments ‘hostile environment’ policy, appointed to EHRC board

They spent 18 months digging through Labour party records and found a very small number of proven cases. Something like 0.2% ? Or was it 0.02%?
You would not know this if you just listened to Starmer's response! He sacked Corbyn from the PLP for stating the balanced facts from the summary of the report.

I’ve consistently been complimentary to Kier and aware of the difficulties he face. If there was an election tomorrow, Labour would get my vote like they have for the majority of my life. It’s only in recent years I’ve become anti Labour and that’s down the the rubbish leaders they choose to elect. Thinking about it, maybe Kier once he sorts out the current Labour shambles.
Shameless.

Poor analysis. The Tories lost 1300 seats - Labour less than 100.
In no way can a comparison be made here, although your last point is indeed a salient one.
