Not convinced you can be expelled for not voting Labour. But you can be if you actively campaign for other parties plus he's a complete and utter beloved aunt who should have been expelled years ago anyway.
Predictable response from a blindfolded Labour supporter. Promote the pogroms to purge anyone not following a narrowing party line. This coming from a ‘leader’ who voted against his own party hundreds of times. As Jess Phillips has said, Campbell was expelled quicker than a local member who threatened to kill her and another who is a holocaust denier.

Sad times.
Don't be a willy. He's not being expelled for not following the party line. He's being expelled for campaigning for another political party. If you're going to have a go at me at least do it without the lies.

Hopefully Jess Phillips will follow him out the door. A careerists chancer if ever I saw one.
How did he campaign for another party?

Didnt he reveal his vote after polling had closed ?

Yeah, telling the truth.
Supposed there's a first for everything.

He did it knowing full well that A) he'd likely be expelled and B) create yet another sh*t in Corbyn's face. People like Campbell don't do anything without knowing the end result first. I'm more disappointed that Labour have knee-jerk reacted to it.
Agree, Campbell is no liker of Corbyn and did this knowing full well what the consequences of his speaking out would result in.
Life goes on for both the Labour Party and also for Alistair Campbell, thus more talk shows and books to him to write !!

Seems he is not alone in voting elsewhere. Expect more expulsions to follow.

Although I'm no fan of Campbell, there's a few others that should be thrown out the party before him.
Margaret Hodge for one should have been thrown out ages ago. She told the party leader to f*** off, in public in front of others, as well as being an odious individual

That was my thoughts exactly.

Campbell outed hi self as having voted LD for a reason, not by accident

B) Unlikely. Voting for your conscience is never a bad thing.

Dumb move to rush expelling him. Better to just leave him to stew as the has-been he is nowadays.

They have made a story over nothing. His voting preferences would have been vinegar-stained chip paper by Thursday.
These Momentum types aren’t the shrewdest owls in the tree.

And that, as they say, is the heart of the matter. A non story is now a big story and with other party members admitting doing the same the party are now in another predicament. If they don’t do the same with the others they will look stupid.

Tories just as stupid with Heseltine, yesterday’s man and of no significance back in the news.

He was always going to make it into a story. That was his objective. f*** him.

“After his expulsion, he told reporters: "I think it's a strange thing to do, and I think people will inevitably draw the contrast between the lack of rapidity in dealing with cases involving anti-Semitism."”

Except he didn’t campaign for anybody else and it only came to light after the vote. Having come out the simplist thing was to leave it alone. Yesterday’s man, the story would be dead in 24 hours. The actions taken ensure the story will run and run and put the spotlight on Labour and their inaction on other more serious matters. He has been given a platform to raise all sorts of sh*t. Tactical error, pure and simple.

It’s only a story in the minds of right wing press barons and right wing pricks harping on about it on various social media platforms.

And on social media, like this forum, which is not controlled by the right wing pricks. You just posted on the subject. Are you controlled by right wing press barons.

Labour screwed up allowing people to jump on it. No one else to blame. If they had handled it differently there would be no story for anybody to jump on.

Of course it is. Denial don’t work. Give it a few more days and interest will wane.

It is a story because it looks like old scores are being settled by Campbell being the only one expelled.
Kate Hoey supports Farage and has defied the whips nothing has been done.
The anti-semites are merely suspended for years and their cases put on the back-burner.
Campbell's case was clearly expedited

It does not look and was a stupid decision as was the sitting on the fence by the party over Brexit

There was me thinking that you loved the fact that momentum run your party?

Campbell (agree with the mods post about him as person) is a shrewd operator, he knew what he was doing, he knew what would happen and I think it’s all about a bigger play being made. His comments in line with Blair being everywhere right now suggests to me that they are brewing something up.

This could be Corbyn's & the Corbynista's greatest faux pas. They have shown how spiteful & pathetic they really are. I was of similar persuasion to Campbell, although policy wise except for the Euro question, I am more in line with Corbyn's left wing views. Distrust his loving of the misogynistic Muslims. But Corbyn's behaviour over these latest issues make me distrust him more and possibly may never ever vote for Labour while he is in charge.

Corbyn comes across as a nice guy to have as a next door Neighbour or to share an allotment with but I dont like his left wing politics. As to what side to choose on Brexit, well the Labour London MPs are thinking of their own skins in choosing to back ''REMAIN'' in the Brexit debate, but the dilemma is that in any future General elections, they would then risk losing many MPs in pro Brexit ''LEAVE'' areas. Perhaps Labour and Conservative have now had their day. Fact of the matter is that most Labour voters do not have extreme left wing views and its only habit and past loyalty as to why many still vote for them.
