All this ''deserving to be''Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 3:07 pm Well it won't be getting there with him in the starting 11.
Well brings a mind to me a bit like some doting parents and grand parents that I know who seem to think that their own children and grand children are very special cases and should be given preferential treatment in the way of jobs, council housing in fact anything where in the rat race that is life, they can be jumped to the front of the queue before others.
As to Leyton Orient deserving to be in League one, well that is something that can only be achieved by gaining good results and winning promotion from our current League two status.

Not drivel at all, the expression ''Really deserves'' is something I hear said far too often from doting parents and grand parents when they speak of their own offspring as to why they should be given preferential treatment above others for no other reason other than being of their own flesh and blood.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 3:33 pmCouldn't agree more except with the drivel posted in the first paragraph.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 3:26 pmAll this ''deserving to be''Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 3:07 pm Well it won't be getting there with him in the starting 11.

However, I can say that he is a very nice young man. I was with my grandson last season and wanted to have a photo of them together. We would have been happy to wait till he had finished his chat with some friends but he broke off, apologised (he didn't need to) and posed with the 7 year old. Not many behave like that even at our lovely club.

“Really deserves” is pretty stupid.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 3:40 pmNot drivel at all, the expression ''Really deserves'' is something I hear said far too often from doting parents and grand parents when they speak of their own offspring as to why they should be given preferential treatment above others for no other reason other than being of their own flesh and blood.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 3:33 pmCouldn't agree more except with the drivel posted in the first paragraph.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 3:26 pm

“Has the potential” is better.

Re: "This club deserves to be in League One" - Interview with Josh Wright
In this instant regarding Leyton Orient, yes “Has the potential” to be a League one team would be a far better description.
Then again, the same could be said of many other teams in Division two, Leyton Orient cannot be regarded as a special case deserving of preferential treatment. When it comes to Leyton Orient achieving promotion to League One, action not words will determine what success is to be achieved,

Sid covered this quite well. Deserve is not the right word. Potential is. And I’m sure it will happen eventually.
