Well, I voted for him twice, once for candidate over Jowell then again against the awful Goldsmith but yeah it's unlikely to lose him many voters
Allows the Tories to stereotype Labour nationally though

Re: Labour Watch
Oh, I'm quite sure that it is not his intention to be divisive. But intentions are often meaningless if the outcome is poor. Agree that it is lazy thinking, but I was hoping that the party was learning something.
And while this will not sway many mayoral votes, it does play across the rest of the country too.

Someone should tell him to rein it in a bit, they don’t want to alienate the racists.

Be interesting to see what the boss of the EHRC, and lawyer to the Government, David Isaac made of it all.

Odd.
Genuinely interested as to what he made of it all, and also why he stepped down before the report is made public.

Well, well, well - who would have thought it? Bigoted anachronistic Marxists in three breaches of the Equality Act.Digby Chicken Caesar wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 10:31 am A report into allegations of anti-Semitism in Labour found the party was "responsible for unlawful acts of harassment and discrimination"

Re: Labour Watch
Was it Marxists that did so, Dis?
Corbyn will have to go. Starmer has basically said so. Interesting to see how he'll get that done.

It will be, but not without a fight I imagine which will cause further damage to the party.

A “no sh*t, Sherlock” outcome that many of us thought. Corbyn in denial, no surprise there then. Shown up for what he really is.Digby Chicken Caesar wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 10:31 am A report into allegations of anti-Semitism in Labour found the party was "responsible for unlawful acts of harassment and discrimination"

A shameful moment in history for a once great party. Good luck Kier.

I have faith in I-Keir to root out these anti-semites and Israeli haters from the party.

Re: Labour Watch
Whats funny is all the lefties on this board denying it all the way through. Maybe you're part of the problem as well?
Only the BNP has been found guilty previously lovely company to be keeping from a party founded against racism, how ironic.
RIP the Labour Party its now game over you bunch of nasty racists. I hate racists more than most things.

Re: Labour Watch
I have every confidence Kier will do his absolute best to clear up this mess. My worry is that some in the party will not go along with changes. Some will believe there is nothing wrong. But we shall see. We will soon find out just how strong Starmer is within the party.Disoriented wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 11:40 am I have faith in I-Keir to root out these anti-semites and Israeli haters from the party.

It’s good that Kier has responded to this report so promptly and in such strong terms.

Be decisive & dont promote someone to lead a party or country who used
Terms like water melon smiles or dressed like pillar boxes .
Well done Kier .

Re: Labour Watch
Not all. I got attacked for using the word rife With regard to anti semitism in Labour. Today I’m happy to retract that word and replace it with normalised. The term used by the Jewish Labour Party. Expresses my views perhaps a little better.PoliticOs wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 12:09 pmHave you got proof of 'all the lefties denying it all the way through?'.Thor wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 11:49 am Whats funny is all the lefties on this board denying it all the way through. But I’m not concerned with history, the dirty washing is out there for all to see. What matters is how the party moves on from that disaster called Jeremy Corbyn.
