When Mrs NES & I had our DNA analysed a couple of years ago for family ancestry purposes, I found I have 8% East European Jew in me. As well as the usual small percentages Scandinavian, North European, Northern French as anyone born in East Anglia probably has because of all the invaders into that part of England over the years.

It was the North African in Mrs NES that was the surprise. Now she knows why she gets such a good suntan.
