What's funny?
You will find that most people like to see their tax payers money used properly.
Every penny wasted is less money for other services.
If these figures are correct, then there is no reason for for people not to eat.

Lifelong Labour voter and a lifelong Union member.
The Welfare state was introduced so people didn't starve.
It is not for unnecessary luxuries and that includes £30 Takeaways and £5 pints of beer.
Where do you think the money comes from?

Council tax support brings it down to £10 per month contribution.
And free dental and optical care.
Free prescriptions
Free School meals.
I must admit as a lifelong Labour voter this shocked me.
If the figures are correct, ( try the calculator yourself) then this should be enough to feed the kids without further handouts.
Plus the painting and decorating , gardening work , cash in hand , should be having a great old jolly up! Keep working hard folks , other people’s children depend on us to feed them!

You have been watching too much afternoon TV, ‘Charity’ I would gladly feed ‘starving kids’ . Most are queuing outside those cheap chicken shops buying chicken and chips for 99p after school. Most look obese to me. This ‘starving kids’ Bow locks is an orchestrated lefty fake news campaign to discredit The Conservatives and Brexit. Nothing else.

If there are ‘starving kids’ Social Services’ are not doing their job. Social Services are well financed to deal with such cases. Are you sure you are not confusing the charity adverts purporting to be from Africa with the reality here? The charities here have Executive Directors on Circa 300k a year. All a load of nonsense. They are not performing either, go protest outside their offices.

I will equal any money you donate to ‘starving kids’ put up or shut up?

Yeah all those foodbanks are just getting food and throwing it out the back.

I already give to Trussell Trust every month. But sure, what charity shall we go for, your choice? Any limit?

Maybe it was always this way and I just don't remember it but the ability of successive governments to make hard up people believe that the problem with the distribution of wealth in this country is that people on benefits get a free ride is quite amazing.

No, I don’t think it has always been this way.

It’s something which has been ramped up as inequality has grown.

Even if you are paying £ 1000+ a month from that in Rent ?

Then Electric & Gas Water rates & Council tax ?
The calculation was done out of London.
I put the rent at £900 pm.
This is fully funded and the discounted council tax came out at £10 pm.
The Gas/Electricity on a modern building will be about £70 pm.
Water rates probably £50 pm.
So that leaves about £500 for food etc.
I estimate you can feed a family of 4 at about £10 per day.
This doesn’t include free school meals.
Food = £310 pm.
Balance = about £180.
Certainly enough to get by on.
How can you feed a family of 4 on £10 per day? Breakfast, lunch, dinner. How about soap, cleaning products, clothes etc?

If it is so great, why bother working?
I have done it several times.
And don’t forget, I didn't include Free school meals.
If you cook from scratch you can easily do this.
I would have thought the £180 pm would go towards other items.
[/quote]

Doesnt even come close to being enough
School clothes , clothes for everyday , dont forget tbere kids
Under 10 so they are growing every 6 months or so .

Why do you think so many people who are working on low wages
are in so much debt ?

For someone who claims to be a Labour voter ( 😂🤣)
You sound very much like a Tory .

The reason a lot of people are in debt is because they spend more then what they get.

Wunble has proven he donated at least £40 to a relevant charity.

Waiting for you to donate and post proof.

Best way out for the Tories is if they permanently increase child benefit to cover meals during holidays, it would also be a better solution than one off payments.

They’ve removed child benefit for more than 2 kids, so not likely.
