Re: Same old
Grimsby pressed us into making mistakes which we are very good at, all about quality and we disparately need some.
Re: Same old
Got to stop giving goals away. Overall defence isn't bad but these lapses in concentration etc are going to cost us big time. Thought JMD was very impressive.

No creativity in midfield, no threat from the wings until the substutions. Rosss should try 442 from the start and play Brophy in his proper position

Ross should try resigning, he is an embarrassment to the fans , the club and himself.Story of O wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 7:33 pm No creativity in midfield, no threat from the wings until the substutions. Rosss should try 442 from the start and play Brophy in his proper position

Re: Same old
I honestly thought having no fans to get on their backs would help this season, clearly it makes not a jot. Orient home or away, fans or not are just sh*t.
To have only 3 shots on goal all game is pish. Tactics are wrong, team selection is wrong and Ross is mostly wrong.
I volunteer to help Ross out. I can select the team, provide tactics and motivate.

Re: Same old
Its really obvious, that R oss isnt the answer.....we need a decent Head coach, who's had some experience and some success in the recent past.
We also need some better quality players, and for a start players must be played in their correct positions.
Even with the below standard players we have, we could still be a mid table team under the auspices of the experienced good manager.
In my view, we will be a bottom six team this season, if this is allowed to carry on, and possibly a relegation team too.
Although im ever so grateful for Nigel & Kent saving us from oblivion, I feel this " Orient Family" stuff, is more important to them, than actually being successful.
With the window shut till January, no ones coming in, and I cant see R oss being sacked in a million years, so were destined for mediocrity for a long time IMO

It’s not just these 6 games, it’s what happened last season too. Since October 2019 played 28 games and won 6 drawn 9 lost the rest. Not good enough not even close.

Re: Same old
The whole approach is just so negative and lacking in any gusto or confidence little wonder we end up on the back foot each game. Not even like we can bemoan bad luck with a goal in the first 5 mins twice on the spin.
Players need to go in their native positions. Need to play with more intensity and physicality and start showing some teeth in our play.
No coincidence this is the same kind of playing style we saw under Davis where Ling had a vision of how he wanted us to play. All technical with no balls, it's history repeating itself.

Continual back passes from the half way line. Perhaps they need a blackboard to explain to them that the art of winning football is to score GOALs

Penny slowly dropping for many.
We just have to sit and suffer unfortunately. With all the losses, unless we really are looking like going down which wouldn’t surprise me, we ain’t getting rid. We also ain’t going anywhere. So we sit and hope someone has some bollocks, at some point.

It’s a half decent set of players. We should be doing so much more. We can all keep moaning about this player or that formation. And as long as we have the same manager, we’ll keep on doing the same.
It’s just a matter of time.

Great manager for our level, but will be in demand, for league 1 clubs as well. Also he's a dyed in the wool northerner, and wouldnt come and manage 200 miles from homeRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 7:56 pmMaybe Graham Alexander ?ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 7:46 pm Its really obvious, that R oss isnt the answer.....we need a decent Head coach, who's had some experience and some success in the recent past.

The defence is totally immobile.
What an idiotic challenge by Clay. We should have had a point from that game.
