Re: Josh Wright
A neat and tidy player, if he were to sign I guess that puts pressure on Gorman for a starting berth.

Re: Josh Wright
Could be a demotivator, dropping down and less money. But a London boy perhaps he personally would be happier in London than Bradford.
An OK player whose career has mostly been above L2.

Re: Josh Wright
So a guy who has played 300 games at L1/championship level consistently over a number of years ain’t good enough for a L2 side!
Paging Mr Messi.

Re: Josh Wright
Never as bad as the experts on here made out. (see also, John Marquis). Probably needs to play alongside a midfield-enforcer though to be effective, which we don't really have.

Re: Josh Wright
If he is one of the cm's coming in then hopefully the other is the enforcer we desperately need.

Re: Josh Wright
Agreed, the main difference is his ball retention was better when he was here last.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 9:18 am Neat and tidy: does remind of Gorman’s style, however.
Re: Josh Wright
Was average in our league one side at that time.
Which to be fair might make him better than average in our L2 side next year especially after more experience at the level above since then.
But not really the Dawson/Vincelot mould I think we desperately need

Re: Josh Wright
I would not be unhappy if we signed him. He is nearly 30 and we again become top heavy with older players. Currently 5 signed and with Dayton and Turley probables brings this to 7. What we are still missing is the 24-28 age group with only Brophy and Clay within this group.

Re: Josh Wright
Agreed, but we need 2 players in that position so if the other is the enforcer we will be well covered on the middle of the park.

Re: Josh Wright
So if two players needed in each position, then two midfield enforcers still needed as none in the squad at present. If that did happen and Wright also joined, then 3 players for the other midfield position, e.g Wright, Clay and last in the pecking order.......Gorman !!
Of course with injuries, suspensions and loss of form, never as clear cut as that.

Re: Josh Wright
His similarity to Gorman is my only concern. But given Gorman has not proved himself perhaps him coming in ahead of Gorman makes sense. Don't recall if he was a tough enforcer type of player, which is what we need. Some bite in CM. Something we are lacking.Thor wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 9:20 amAgreed, the main difference is his ball retention was better when he was here last.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 9:18 am Neat and tidy: does remind of Gorman’s style, however.

He's decent, has played a lot of his career at a higher level than L2. Would be a good addition.

There will be differences of course. What do you consider to be the main ones.CreamofSumYungGai wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 1:10 pmHe’s nothing like Gorman.
