Re: Time to get rid
I know its still early days but we’re beginning to look no better than we were last season. Last season was a struggle and it doesn’t appear that we are progressing

I think if we had Justin managing this lot they’d be doing a lot better. Really don’t rate Embleton

What do you expect from a guy who voluntarily chose a name including the word "Cock"? Ling hasn't played today so he needs to find something else to lash out at.

The league is all that counts
P5 W1 D2 L2 - 17th
5 more games until we can start to make a judgement on where this season is headed

I think you already have mate. Still, enjoy it until the next win.
P.S I like how it's 10 league games, not just 10 games now.

Re: Time to get rid
Wait until the transfer window is shut and give it another month or so. Unfair to judge RE and the team at this point, especially with that Covid f*** up. Give Ling a chance to give RE the tools he needs to give him the best possible chance of succeeding. I'm not convinced he's the right man to be manager but it's what we have right now.
If things are poo poo mid to late November then look at it again.

Re: Time to get rid
Without DJ's goals, we would be bottom three.
R oss hasnt a clue as a manager / Head Coach. Being a real nice guy doesn't get you points im afraid.
Too many players played out of position every game

Re: Time to get rid
Don’t know how it can come as a surprise. We are a bang average bottom half team with a manager who ain’t up to it. Pretty obvious going in. A couple of injuries to key players and we’ll be bottom 6.

Re: Time to get rid
Dross ain’t going nowhere have you lot learnt nothing?
Anyway in my opinion it’s way too early to be sacking any manager/coach or whatever their title maybe this early in the season. Anyone sacked previous to today, today or in the next couple of weeks can consider it harsh, let the season settle down before any hasty decisions are made.

Re: Time to get rid
There’s no way Ross is getting binned unless we end up rooted to the bottom of the table for a couple of months. So get used to him being here.
As I really can’t see fans being let into grounds any time soon (and I even fear that a number of clubs in our division won’t survive financially to see the season out) I just hope that we stay up.
This season could actually be a blessing in disguise. Essentially players from the conference winning squad will be seeing out the final year of their renewed contracts in a season which I am certain will go down in history as “that weird Covid season” which doesn’t really count for much. Hopefully clearing them out in the summer of 21 ready to rebuild for a genuine play-off challenge in 21/22 when football has finally gone back to “normal”.

Re: Time to get rid
After watching that I would be inclined to say that I’m not sure a new manager would change much. We lack agility and speed in the middle to be able to press any teams successfully. Don’t think I’ve ever seen Dayton have a good game. Have no idea what he brings to the table. Josh Wright slow plays safe and backwards most of the time. Dull and boring

Re: Time to get rid
Personally I’m more concerned about Wright and Dayton.
Dayton looks far too lightweight for a midfield role and Wright was fairly anonymous.
JMD surely a better option than Dayton as far as a creative force is concerned as very little was created for DJ to feed off.

Re: Time to get rid
1 win in 5 in the league and that was against the team in last place. But we do need more games to get a better picture but early signs ain’t good. Early days. I ain’t holding my breath for a massive improvement. But you never know, it may happen.

Ross is staying. On a years money as a pay off and we can’t afford that.Thor wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2020 9:10 pm Dross ain’t going nowhere have you lot learnt nothing?

Re: Time to get rid
Never gone away, strange, some of us want to see decent football and the occasional win in the league and are unhappy looking at garbage for much of the time. How odd.
