Wood Green
I've just been there, what a horrible place, so many people with attitude problems, mental health issues ... a word of advice to you guys - shop somewhere else

Re: Wood Green
Sorry you had to be inconvenienced by being around people with mental illness. Hope no one with in a wheelchair was there, for their sake. Not yours.

I'm sorry guys, but this afternoon at Wood Green was a scary experience, more scary than being an away fan at Millwall !
And Tuffers, I'm a working class bloke from Dalston, I'm definitely not a snob

Re: Wood Green
Dalston ain't all that great, as far as I remember. Try walking through Crouch End and Muswell Hill or Highgate even, you'll find that much more to your liking.

I went down Ridley Road market at Dalston a couple of weeks ago for the first time in my life , I won't be in a hurry to return there , saw 3 arguments with stall holders in the 20 or so minutes I spent there

Re: Wood Green
It’s been years since I lived up that way (Ally Pally), but I always liked it. Is Shopping City still there? One of the earlier “large” mall-style places. Probably seems small and tired these days if it is, and besides it’s footfall/profitability (and the High Road shops) is probably threatened by online shopping just like all the chain-led High Streets, anyway.

I used to love wood green
Huckleberrys on the corner was a brilliant american styled burger hot dog place .
Worked up that way a couple of times in a couple of sports shops .

In terms of the London Borough Dump League
Haringey is certainly a perennial top 6 contender (much like Spurs)

I grew up in Edmonton, went to school in Enfield and lived my adult life in Walthamstow, Muswell Hill and Highgate. Does that make me posh

Re: Wood Green
Yes but this is historical. Two of my Grandparents grew up in Clapton between 1880 and 1918 when this area was an ok place to live, and its the reason I am an O's fan. If I returned to live in London today I would not consider any of the places I previously lived, apart from maybe Highgate. London has moved on as it always does and has become something different. London has been doing that for over a thousand years. I miss the areas I grew up which I loved at the time but they are gone now and that is ok. The one thing I love most about coming home to London is watching Orient, and that never changes much, but what a great family we are.

I’d add don’t go to Edmonton Green either. I went there to visit an old friend two weeks ago and it was the same there as well.
