Ditto
and today played 16 holes of golf today on the windswept fairways & greens of deepest, darkest Suffolk. Why 16 and not 18, I cut two holes out as it was getting a bit cold.

You sure they didn’t sell you a lemon cake? Flu jab 2 weeks ago as my status as a Season Card holder classifies me as “Vulnerable”. Today I have spoken to a man about a patio (I think Mrs OMG has designs on me being part of the base) and I have purchased some fruit and veg. Thank whatever deity you follow for this Board.....life is SO fulfilling.

Just got back from a double whopper of a colonoscopy and endoscopy within an hour. Did both without sedation and both were fine. I was nervous of the one down the throat as it’s like a giant and thick hose pipe with a camera on the end you have to swallow but if was no problem and zero pain. The hardest part was pulling the plaster off after my blood test. You will be pleased to here I am ok.

I had to have the camera down the throat without sedation a few years ago, and found it awful. Couldn't stop retching around the hosepipe thing. Terrible experience. Glad it went better for you.

Good stuff, bera. I'm due the same in a few weeks. Went without sedation last time, but found it to be f*cking awful so will be guzzling the drugs this time.
Highlight of my day was submitting last months KPI results to board before the deadline on Monday. Felt like a boss.

Thanks stillspike. I am a bit of a wimp. Must have large tubes! When I saw it I thought, no way. How on earth can I swallow that. I pretended it was a big burger and just gulped it. Hard day in mentally. Guys. Anyone over 50 with belly problems get your bowels checked!

Re: You Know It's a Boring Wet Friday
I been checked at all ends and from all directions. I noted when my friend's daughter was having a tube down her throat, she retched, gagged and got very distressed. When she finally complied with their directions it went down easy. When they checked my stomach I remembered that, & was fine.
However..............when I had a cardiac arrest and had the full works to revive me:- I came back to the land of the living: do you know where you are? yes, Basildon Hospital. Good we lost you, but we've brought you back. Now we need to do a few things before we sedate you. My colleague is gonna put a catheter down your eye hole. We gonna stick a tube down your oesophagus to feed you and another one down your windpipe to aid your breathing. Blimey! But it was all pretty painless. I am more or less back to normal. These geezers are clever. Oh! and that was on a very hot Summer's day. So perhaps boring wet Fridays ain't so bad.

Here you go Clive, old mayor khan pretending to have he flu jab, note the cap is still on the needle and that the doctor wants to put it through his shirt. This is not a conspiracy just real life lies, but you won’t see that will you?

Oh come on! Never heard of a photo opportunity? Would you have 20 flu jabs until the photographer gets it right? This is just the sort of rubbish that gets me annoyed with you.

No I'm not stupid enough to have a flu jab in the first place. Oh and please he's a professional photographer, I'm an amateur and I'd get it right first or second times no need for the cap to be on the needle period. I'd wager he never had the jab.

Thor Between 1918 and 1920 :-The death toll of flu is typically estimated to have been somewhere between 17 million and 50 million, and possibly as high as 100 million, making it one of the deadliest pandemics in human history.
You disseminating such anti--social stuff is dangerous.
You are more than tiresome.

Re: You Know It's a Boring Wet Friday
yes you are quite correct, there was no cure for that then and there is no cure for what we have now. The treatments back then mirror what we are doing today, clean your hands, self isolation, disinfectant of surfaces and limits on public gatherings see the parallels with today?Clive Evans wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 11:17 am Thor Between 1918 and 1920 :-The death toll of flu is typically estimated to have been somewhere between 17 million and 50 million, and possibly as high as 100 million, making it one of the deadliest pandemics in human history.

We've never cured the common cold and we've never cured the flu so why in 6 months are we going to cure covid? Same family of viruses.
You ignore ONS facts that 362 people below 60 with no ill heath have died of covid. That's a government fact feel free to look it up yourself if you don't believe me. The average age of someone dying of covid is 84 thats another government fact on the ONS.
The virus is real very real and I said on here months ago after speaking to a doctor at the hospital and he said if you've no underlying health issues the regular flu is worse, however, if you do have a health issue then this is really bad for you and it becomes life threatening. I believed him then and going by the ONS facts I still believe what he told me today.
Please remember the press tell you what to believe, do your own research.
