Gateshead Suspended From The National League
I know we are out of the National League but it is still topical.

Re: Gatehead Suspended From the National League
I presume this means that Aldershot aren't relegated.

What’s the point of docking them 9 points from THIS season

So if the supporter takeover manages to get over the line, it's the new regime and the supporters who suffer for the misdeeds of the previous owners? - football's a f*cking circus, really. (like we needed any further evidence to that effect)

Re: Gatehead Suspended From The National League
Absolutely ridiculous. If an owner is on their way out, this isn't going to stop them breaking the rules? The FA, EFL and NL continue to ignore the root problems of dodgy owners and are just punishing the fans, staff and players.
I'm guessing that this could potentially affect the impending take over that they must be aware of. Bizarre timing.

Also, if Braintree beat us no the last day, they may now well be re-instated.

Not surprised as I thought they were going to relegate themselves anyway. Tough on the fans as usual though.

Re: Gatehead Suspended From The National League
Obviously the National League sought advice from the EFL on how to handle the situation. Give them due at least they are all consistent in making themselves look stupid.

Me.I'm still interested in it and whether Wrexham and a few other favourite teams get out of it.

Took us two years to get out but has any team gone down and gone straight up again?

Re: Gatehead Suspended From The National League
Same here. I'm only really interested in the National League and up to League One. All three leagues we've been in so am able to relate to them more. I'll take an interest in higher up than that if and when we get there.Howling Mad Murdock wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 9:27 pmMe.I'm still interested in it and whether Wrexham and a few other favourite teams get out of it.

Didn’t Bristol Rovers do that not so long ago?Howling Mad Murdock wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 9:29 am Took us two years to get out but has any team gone down and gone straight up again?

Re: Gatehead Suspended From The National League
I think BR and Cheltenham are the ONLY teams to go straight back up since the National League was founded in 1979. That's how tough the league is.Howling Mad Murdock wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 12:32 pmCheltenham did it in 2016?Esteban wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 12:22 pmDidn’t Bristol Rovers do that not so long ago?Howling Mad Murdock wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 9:29 am Took us two years to get out but has any team gone down and gone straight up again?

Same. Plus, it's about Gateshead struggling. Don't want to see any club go out of business (Milton Keynes being the exception).Howling Mad Murdock wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 9:27 pmMe.I'm still interested in it and whether Wrexham and a few other favourite teams get out of it.

Re: Gateshead Suspended From The National League
I heard Gateshead have been relegated two leagues. This means Aldershot have got a reprieve from relegation. What a way to avoid the drop.

Lincoln & Darlington did I think as well in early years of automatic promotion.Loyal_Supporter wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 5:02 pmI think BR and Cheltenham are the ONLY teams to go straight back up since the National League was founded in 1979. 1979 and the next few years there was no automatic promotion
