Mickel Arteta positive test in march
It caused football to come to a halt. Will a number of positive tests at little Leyton Orient (believed to possibly be double figures) cause football to come to a halt this time I wonder..... (but then I shouldn't wonder long)
It was 'interesting' to note yesterday that the Manchester city player testing positive was the main
sport headline on BBC all day yesterday whereas the Orient news merely made a footnote.
That's where we are with the world nowadays sadly.

No one will care until a whole team in the prem get it...or a footballer dies, which is probably pretty unlikely but could still happen.

Re: Mikel Arteta positive test in march
I suspect it will. Not immediately, but maybe within a fortnight. There is every chance that near enough every EFL side will have to test this week and if even a third of them have significant numbers like Orient, that will be it.
Also all the Premier League teams who have played those EFL teams.
I doubt there will be domestic football after the next international break.

Its a really grim outlook for all sport in the months ahead.
The way this is going, god knows how many EFL teams will go out of business altogether.
May end up with just the Premier League intact.

I wouldn't be sure that all the Premier League clubs can ride it out if they don't play. Big 6 will be OK and so will clubs with sugar daddies, but rest need income.

The stats shown are for the time period 2018 to 2019, so no idea as to the current financial balance sheet for the clubs of the Premier division.RientO wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 4:40 pmI wouldn't be sure that all the Premier League clubs can ride it out if they don't play. He will probably have no case to answer , but if it gets a bit sticky
he may decide to get out.
All conjecture to be fair,
but would he be willing to pay out such big wages with no income ?
