Really, are you a very rich person then who can afford to go out and pay a large amount of money for a very ordinary meal like that ?
I might be mistaken, but I thought it was you on this forum who said some time ago that you had no work and might lose the roof over your head ?
If that was not you, then I sincerely apologize for my mistake.
Whether i have the money to eat
out.or not us irrelevant Sid old boy .

If you think that is expensive youd probably have a heart attack at some places prices for an Ordinary meal.

You are paying for someone to cook good food for
you in a nice Enviroment , you are paying for someone to wait on you to meet your culinary tastes.
To take away the stress of life.

Not only that but you are EMPLOYING PEOPLE
You are allowing a SMALL BUISNESS to flourish ..
Something i thought you were all for Sid , you know
Capitalism !
Well I merely asked as if you do go out and pay such large amounts of money for meals like that, then you have considerably more money at your disposal for your own needs than i would wish to spend on myself. I cook my own food and also grow many of my own vegetables, so have have a very varied and healthy diet. For the sort of money paid for one persons meal there, well around 6 to 8 weeks shopping bill for me. Perhaps that is why I have large savings and can help others who are less fortunate than myself.
I havent been out to a restraunt in 4 years .
Lots of reasons.

There are plenty who go to restraunts ,
Purely & simply to help the economy thrive.
It helps farmers fishermen , buisness people & creates employment .
All things that are beneficial to the Economy .

Money has to circulate , it really shouldnt just sit in a bank account . It does no real good earning a pittance of low interest !

You can just imagine Sid driving around in a Morris Minor. "What, pay tens of thousands for a new BMW. I made this myself from a kit. Came in 396 editions of a magazine"
What a good idea ! Quite likely that an old Morris minor will last longer than the BMW and be more reliable, will also hold its value far better. The value of that old car is going up every year whilst new cars lose money as soon as they leave the showroom and continue to go down steadily. That is why so many people are in financial problems in this country, living beyond their means and maxing out on their credit cards. As the old saying goes ''Champagne taste on Lemonade money''

I was a Facebook “friend” of his until last December when he decided to tell me I was wrong about everything politically to do with the Labour Party. He and I soon became Facebook non-friends.

100 m in the Haliax earning 6- 7 % would be enough to live on.

Just think how big an allotment you'd need to grow so much food !
You could have your own farmed salmon lake to

Lighthearted thread about an Orient fan in the public eye....

Weirdos arguing over something irrelevant..... Corbyn cult making a fly by appearance.....

Now I'm not saying the board is becoming repetitive

Very overpriced but then again to those guys its probably quite cheap !
I once read of a restaurant in London that charged over £900 for a luxury kebab meal, ahh found it !

Kebab for £900, curry for £2,000 - London's most expensive meals

First match of last season, he plotted up with his boy and his gobby chum in the corner of the North near where my mob usually sit, and the fella behind him, who usually goes on his own, was so excited at having a celebrity nearby that he spent the whole match in his earhole making anodyne observations. Needless to say, we didn't see Mays again.
