Lance Armstrong

Post by Thor »

He has been interviewed for American tv which will be shown next week. In a brief to newspapers he says that he doesn’t regret doing what he did and that he wouldn’t change a thing.

So in reality his only regret it that he admitted that he cheated. Shameful.

I'm thinking we should wait to see what he has to say before going off on one on a minor league MB.

I'm sure the drugs was a thing with the bikey guys.

I actually like Armstrong again .

Nearly dies of Cancer has a ball chopped off for his trouble.
Raised $325 million by the end of 2005 for his Cancer Charity.
Inspired 10s of thousands of cancer suffers with his sucessful battle against cancer.

Considering he only did what pretty much everybody else has been doing for ever ,

Well done Lance on the money raised & beating cancer the way you did

Yes, Armstrong did what most of them were doing. That’s fine. But anyone who didn’t take drugs or kiss the feet of Sir Armstrong was purged from the peleton. He took drugs, and people who take drugs we can feel sorry for but if you are the head of the cartel there is no sympathy. Bloke is a scumbag.

Froome Indurain Mercxx Hinault Wiggins
All of whom have some very ropey cover stories.

Armstrong just cheated better than the other cheats through History.

Id much rather a race that allowed medical science to aid these guys over the long weekly tours .
But relative to not just height & weight but to resting heart levels , oxygen saturation rates etc.

An even playing field above who has the biggest budget must be fair play.

A £30 million budget is not only a huge advantage over a team of £20 million is scandalous, considering it is basically advertising the team & what they sell

One of your more hypocritical posts along the lines of despots being okay if they were kind to their mother and animals.

Hilarious.

So it’s OK to be a sports cheat so long as you do some good works too. Fair enough.

Nope , but in a Sport tjat has been cheating for the last 50-60 years why shouldnt one of tbe cheaters do something so good .

Or are YOU happy that people DIE of CANCER rather than a high end celebrity does that much.

Dis im doing no such thing

Cycling is Still not CLEAN .

Im just opposing the Original post claim he wouldnt change a thing, other than being caught

Beating Cancer , Raising Massive money for Charity .

So he won a bike race 7 times & they call him out as a cheat, when we know
Ullrich won as a cheat Pantani won as a cheat
Valverde won as a cheat Landis won as a cheat
Mercxx & Indurain almost certainly were cheats ( esp the former ) , the list goes on.

You can’t assume Mercxx and Indurain were cheats without mentioning anything about Froome and Jiffy Bag Wiggins. They are more recent so more dubious surely.

I hope you don’t feel us Brits are averse to that sort of thing. If so, two words - Tommy Simpson.

Of course they are dirty , because they are not 100 % Clean.
