Simplest way is not to disrupt NL fixtures that are probably already set, ignore the Macclesfield games throughout the Season and resolve at the end of the season with only 1 relegation and two promotions.
There are usually 4 teams relegated from NL to NLN/NLS and 4 promoted. Why are you halving the number of sides going up from NLN/NLS?
Surely you relegate 3 and promote 4 to replace Macclesfield and relegate 2 less from NLN/NLS than had been planned to be relegated then at other levels, the Macclesfield/ Bury places are decided by reprieves on a PPG basis

Re: Macclesfield Town are no more
21 teams in national league south and now 23 in national league means that Ebbsfleet could get a reprieve and even things up. Could get very messy if other clubs fold as season goes on.Dohnut wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 4:40 pmTricky. Why not a NL South. Also an 11th hour reprieve for Macclesfield, unlikely, but possible. There will be more especially now one judge has said enough is enough other judges will follow as a sort of precedent has now been set. IMO the judiciary likes to follow or quote past cases when making Judgment. Sarfend could be in trouble next time they ask for an adjournment.

Except Macclesfield were case number 1 and Southend case number 9 so the first decision didn’t affect the Shrimpers. I’m sure they take each case on it’s merits.EliotNes wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 8:31 pm There will be more especially now one judge has said enough is enough other judges will follow as a sort of precedent has now been set. Indeed. Southend's case was adjourned because they had paid back some of the tax debt, so HMRC agreed to an extension to pay the rest (which is of course unlikely, but Ron Martin has been robbing Peter to pay Paul for a long time).Dohnut wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 9:00 pmExcept Macclesfield were case number 1 and Southend case number 9 so the first decision didn’t affect the Shrimpers. This is just tragic for the fans. Heart goes out to them and I hope some sort of recognisable Club forms to continue their identity. If it does those who can should support them in any way they can. I genuinely shuddered when I read this and thought back........

Why should people not connected to any phoenix club support them as opposed to any of the thousands of other football clubs?Omygawd wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2020 12:50 pm This is just tragic for the fans. I wish the fans of the former club well, but I will not be supporting any phoenix club instead of other club

OK, thanks for letting me know. You clearly have a narrow definition of the word support, it can take many forms including financial contributions however small. Queue endless quotes from our legal eagle......spen666 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2020 1:42 pmWhy should people not connected to any phoenix club support them as opposed to any of the thousands of other football clubs?Omygawd wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2020 12:50 pm This is just tragic for the fans. Not sure how you can determine my definition of support . I have no idea what you have decided for me my definition of support is because I certainly never limited my definitionOmygawd wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 7:09 amOK, thanks for letting me know. Whatever definition of support you want to use, I am not going to support Macclesfield phoenix club ahead of any existing club.
Why should I give them support ahead of any existing club who also need support.
Why should any non Macvles5fan support them ( whatever definition of support you want to use)

Because people might feel bad that a large number of people have lost their football club, which felt important to them, and they might want to do something to help those people come back together and have the collective experience of a football club to support again?

I feel bad that Barkingside are struggling as are Redbridge and Ilford & other teams. I am going to support them rather than Macclesfield.Wally Banter wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 7:29 am Because people might feel bad that a large number of people have lost their football club, which felt important to them, and they might want to do something to help those people come back together and have the collective experience of a football club to support again?
Why should I prioritise Macclesfield over other clubs, especially more local clubs
I wish those if any trying to form a new phoenix club in Macclesfield all the best, but it is nonsense to say everyone should support them in their efforts. I support plenty of clubs, but a club 200 miles away I have no connection with is not one I will feel any compulsion to support.
It is nonsense to suggest all football fans should support them

Indeed tonight, I will be helping to support Barkingside by attending their FA Vase tie at Cricklefield and tomorrow I will be doing the same for either Redbridge FC or Frenford FC also in the FA Vase and then on Sunday West Essex.
So forgive me if I am too busy supporting local football clubs here to support any phonenix club 200 miles away

Still not supporting them. The only thing I wil support from Macclesfield is Muttley & his band. Re: Macclesfield Town are no more
Whilst people debate who to support, isn’t the bigger problem here the EFL and their running of the professional game? How many more clubs will be allowed to be run into the ground by reckless and unfit owners?

For as long as there's valuable land to obtain and money to be had. Football authorities won't help as they're too busy lining their own pockets as well.
