Let me guess, is he only taking the six figure salary for a few hours work to help change them from the inside?

Re: Labour Watch
She now is the Tory MP for this constituency! Just makes you wonder what sort of moral compass some Tory MPs and those who vote for them have.Elphicke’s wife, Natalie, who stood for office and became the Conservative MP for Dover after her husband did not stand in 2019, had accompanied him to the trial on some days but announced their marriage was ending after the verdict was returned.
In a statement issued after the sentencing, however, she said she fully supported his appeal against his convictions and what she described as the “excessive sentence”.

Sorry we are talking about Tom Watson, why change it to a sex offender who has been tried before his peers found guilty and sent to prison. It’s called justice and I’m all for that. He is in the place he deserves to be, we just need a few more people locked up and society will be a better place.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 12:01 amHe may be a Hypocrite but he's know

He does NOT REPRESENT the public as a serving MP
He is just a Member of the general public now.
Bills need to be paid Thory
Or are you saying you want to deny someone the opportunity &
right to earn coin ?
Hypocrisy is about going against what you choose to do .
Serve the public then be squeaky clean
Not a Sex offender while you are paid for by the people
As an M.P !!

Redo I’ve commented on him in the Tory thread and others as well. If you do wrong expect to be punished, it doesn’t matter if your Tory or labour.

If you beleive that he is doing it to change it then your deluded, he is taking the shilling and will use his contacts in Parliament to get them what they need want and require. That is the only reason they want him.
Many MPs have done this in the past, he just joins that list.

We have got gee-gees in Stables next to us, as it happens. Not mine, though. Had a couple of goes on holiday as a young adult- almost shat myself when they started cantering, but never really fancied horse riding after that.

Re: Labour Watch
Hmmm. Labour hinting it will out-Tory the Tories on spending. I know middle ground tabloid voters buy this guff (see Blair), but then you just get Red Tories elected (see Blair) whose hands are tied to only making marginal changes. More “we’re sensible and competent” managerialism speak, I suspect.

Re: Labour Watch
All the signs are that they are going to go with 'competence' as their main theme and attack on the Tories. Starmer has been careful to avoid getting sucked into any of the Brexit stuff, and just focus purely on the Tories handling of the pandemic. His only comments about Brexit have been that it is now for the Tories to deliver the kind of Brexit they promised their voters.
But he's also starting to make a nod towards patriotism and nationhood in an attempt to appeal for the traditional working class vote. They've clearly done their research and identified their most likely route to power.

Starmer claims to watch the Queen's broadcast on Christmas Day and draping himself in the Union Jack. Does anybody really believe that?
Or is he simply trying to fool a certain section of the electorate?
