When we lost in the 90th minute to Charlton in the FA Cup 4th round in Jan 2006 the then commercial manager Steve Dixon told me that equaliser cost the club £250-400k in TV fees for the highlights package and extra perimeter advertising.
So I reckon this should be worth far far more at a guess.

Don't know what the advertising is worth, but the broadcast fee for Orient is worth £125,000 I believe.

Both KIck off times have their plus points.

6.00 p.m means that basically any younger fans will get to watch the game and some of those coming home from work might miss it.

8.15 reverse of the above

Different era, different competition. £100k or so for this one, I read somewhere this week.

Yes that's the figure I saw, a massive boost to the club, I'm thinking it's likely to be Spurs under 21s or similar as they also have games Sunday and Thursday next week. If it is it could be a massive opportunity to advance to the next round and maybe another televised game. I think the draw for round four is made tonight so we would know in advance.

Leicester or Arsenal at home would be a nice draw. Guaranteed TV slot. Not that I am counting chickens.

I hope Eric Dier plays against us. One of the most aptly named footballers at the moment.

Then we may well play against their fringe players.

I wonder if they will put in some of temporary “electronic” advertising hoardings to get more advertising revenue. When I took a pitch side advertising board a good few years ago the contract wording was to the effect that cup matches were not included.

Id like to see the club make a few hundred grand on this game

The club have offered tailored advertising packages for this game and beyond. But they are already tied into perimeter advertising with only a few spaces left. Earning potential is probably capped at less than £200 k with what's available and no spectators but if we could get past Spurs whatever side they put out it would be a big boost financially.

Spurs need a trophy & Jose knows that so he won’t take the match lightly. His first trophy at every Premiership club he has managed is the League Cup! He won’t want to lose this cup tie even with a Europa Cup tie 2 days later. Let’s hope we can make some good dosh out of the TV revenue
