Re: Oldham (A)
Yes, I've been keeping an eye on that game . Either Harrogate are better than I've given them credit or Southend are in for a long season. What the hell was that defending all about . ?? I hope they defend like that when we play them .

Re: Oldham (A)
Why the grrrrrr ? My comment were more directed at those who wrote on this forum of Thomas going straight into the team, that before even seeing the lad play ! As I wrote at the time of his signing, he has been playing in under 23 football so will need time to get into the team and adjust to the style and pattern of our side, plus needs time to adjust to division 2 level of mens football.PoliticOs wrote: βSat Sep 12, 2020 4:33 pmOr could be that he's played the grand sum of two professional games in his life and was knackered after his debut and needs managing. Or Martin Ling grrrrrr.Sid Bishop wrote: βSat Sep 12, 2020 4:24 pmLing in the team at right back and Turley on the bench as cover for right back and centre half positions.Apple Wumble wrote: βSat Sep 12, 2020 2:45 pm From sunny essex. Looking forward to watching the stream.
Teams a bit of a surprise. Assume Jobi just being managed but no Thomas or Judd even on the bench. Coulson keeps his place.
Come on your Os.
For those who expected Thomas to go straight into the right back slot........well as if, the chances of that happening at this early stage of the season were remote at the best ! Ling is firmly cemented into that position and unless he gets injured, will most likely remain there for at least a while yet.

Re: Oldham (A)
You would have a Dan Johnson type player in your team every time, tight game chances at a minimum and he digs one out when it matters, A great result.

Great start O's!! Paid Β£10.00 to watch and was wondering if there are any stats somewhere to say how many were watching or listening. How much of my Β£10.00 went to the club?

Still yet to see him have a good game, although heβs been better this season than last.Top of the JES wrote: βSat Sep 12, 2020 5:06 pm You would have a Dan Johnson type player in your team every time, tight game chances at a minimum and he digs one out when it matters, A great result.

Clay plays high for when we havenβt got the ball, not for when we have it.Apple Wumble wrote: βSat Sep 12, 2020 4:03 pmI don't really understand him playing in that position. If we are pushing him high then play Wright who aint got a bad shot on him.
