‘Stand up for the Orient’

Post by Oiram »

As someone with bad knees , I find the song ‘Stand up for the Orient’ an ordeal to comply with. I can never be bothered to explain to people why I cannot stand up for the Orient either when glared at disapprovingly.

In this respect. Have just read the following new rules in Scotland. Boris normally follow what Sturgeon comes up with, so maybe no more standing up for the Orient, just sitting !

That ditty had its place during the Beelzebub demos (and the dodgy subsidised Olympic Stadium farce before that), but it’s a pretty dull chant to be wheeled out as often as it is (or was, I suppose).

Is OFF’s facebook group of the same name still going?

Feel the same, it started to morph into something to be wheeled out for particularly spectacular performances / successful spells but now it's more of an irritant when someone comes up with a rendition at 0-0 when we haven't had a shot on target 😏

SUFTO FB group is still going, caters more to the happy clappy end of the fanbase these days.
