Re: Spurs at Brisbane Road
Whoever wins will likely face Spurs U23 side, the week the third round is set for, clashes with a potential Europa League tie for Spurs.

Probably a good thing, saves the embarrassment of half the South Stand cheering when Spurs score

Re: Spurs at Brisbane Road
well we have to beat Plymouth first, lets hope the referee is up for it
years ago we played spurs in the 2nd round of the league cup, this was over 2 legs, and when the competition was well recognised
we tore the arse out of them in the home 1st leg winning 2-0, and Kevin Godfrey scored both goals, late in the game Paul Shinners nearly broke the bar with a shot. about 13000 os fans going berserk at the end
So off to away leg at white hart lane, already winning 2-0, nothing could go wrong !
cant remember the result
bring em on !

Re: Spurs at Brisbane Road
Remember it well, one of Chris Waddles first games, looked like a right waste of money.
Second leg was delayed becauee of the Tottenham riots. By then we had lost momentum and Shinners was out injured.
Also Graham Roberts returned for Spurs, played a blinder and we were well beaten.
Night of the first leg beer went up from 90p a pint to a quid in the Alma. John said it was to save giving change because it was so busy
Remember saying that will never come down again and it didn't.

I seem to remember they had a bit of an injury crisis when the first leg was originally supposed to take place.one o in huntingdon wrote: ↑Sun Sep 06, 2020 7:00 pm Remember it well, one of Chris Waddles first games, looked like a right waste of money.

As you say though, Roberts was fit by the time the game had been rescheduled.
We held our own for a while and I remember watching the digital clock tick down until they got their 3rd

Pretty sure John Chiedozie came on as sub for them in the second half.
