Many players have come on loan to Leyton Orient with great expectations. A few are good, some average and many are not that great at all and end up going back to their parent clubs, so before jumping to conclusions, let us see actually this new young defender play a few games before going overboard about him being a lot better than our own existing fullbacks, after all up to now, he has been playing mainly at under 23 level and not senior level , that apart from his one token appearance when making his senior debut as a substitute in the 92nd minute for the Canaries in the final day defeat against Manchester City. Time will tell as to how good he really is and as to if he fits into the team setup ok.

Just pointing out we were back in pre season , while the kid was about to make his Norwich PL debut .
Ok it may have been a 92nd minute debut but hey ho.

Also hed have been back training with norwich way before our pre season started & Is therefore entitled to a break is he not , recover & recuperate .

From looking at his present and previous interviews, he looks to be young so lets see how he gets on playing in this League before we rush to judgement. Its a lot different playing in Division 2 EFL as against playing against under 23 teams, as he has been used to doing so far up to now. Fans should not go overboard and expect too much from this young man, he needs time to adapt to the change, that is why young players go out on loan to lower division clubs, it is all part of the process of changing and adapting from youth football to senior level football.

A centre back is needed, but I guess this signing means Turley will not be required at RB, and will be permanently in the middle *if fit

Personally, I'd have preferred Turley at RB, with a new CB in the building.

I think many of us felt that was a decent option all along. But hey ho, we have an abundance of Right Backs and a gap in the CB area where Widdowson is being used as a stop gap with Brophy dropping back to cover LB. I’m sure they know what they are doing.

Chatting to a couple of Norwich fans up here, they’ve seen him in the U23's a few times and rate him. Their U23's play in a similar manner to the first team with their full backs getting high when they have the ball, so very much ties in with what we’ve heard from RE.
