Case for: He’s the best we have by far.
Case against: The alternative is unpalatable.

Signed. How many more do we need before the club have to accept it?
I’d still rather have Turley there, with Brophy on the other flank.

Re: The Case For Myles (And the petition for him to start the first game)
Signed.
Turley would be my 1st choice too, but we look light on centre-backs, so I guess he will play there 'if fit', or until a replacement for Marv comes in (should that happen)
Think Judd should be given a decent run at the start of the season. We've seen multiple times what Ling Jnr can do.
Yes, Judd has let himself down both positionally, and by flying into tackles etc, but he's still young. The last time he got a proper run was under Beelzebub, and he did okay in execrable circumstances.
Even *if RE is certain Ling is his main man, then it invigorates proper competition for places...

Good to see this picking up steam. Really pulling for Myles to get a fair chance and to see what he can do.

Re: The Case For Myles (And the petition for him to start the first game)
Yes give Myles a chance. Like others I think Turley is the best of the 3 right backs we have signed on, but when he is not playing in that position I prefer Judd to Ling who like Widdowson is a very static fullback. I can recall a while back when Judd did get a run in the first team, he was playing really well and his overlapping and link up play with James Dayton was very good, then Judd got injured and since then, he has never really got the chance to get back as a regular in the team. I think with the present managerial setup, Judd will have to move to another club to get a chance to move on with his game.

And we should get rid of Judd. He needs to go to Dulwich Hamlet or Cray Wanderers or similar and rebuild from there.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 9:34 amSo?Kitch’s Magic Toes wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 12:27 amSam Ling is a homegrown player...Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2020 6:30 pm This is a positive thread about home grown player, who’s only 21, getting a chance to shine.

Do you think that we should do that with every 20/21 year old who hasn't had a good run in a team for 2 years or just Judd?Kitch’s Magic Toes wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 11:36 amAnd we should get rid of Judd. He needs to go to Dulwich Hamlet or Cray Wanderers or similar and rebuild from there.

No need for rudeness or personal attacks. Especially when I’m getting behind the club and a young lad who deserves a game. Chill out.

Jason McAtear was ridiculed by his fellow pros for being “thick” however, that never stopped him being first choice in the team. Why does that matter if he’s a genius or thick? It’s called banter mate look it up all dressing rooms thrive on it and it’s the one thing I miss the most about playing.

Dont think Juddy will achieve either of those to be fair to him
