Re: Champions league Final
I'm watching Gone Fisting with Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse followed by the return of Sir Harry Hill.
Will watch the highlights later
I predict 3-0 Bayern.

Re: Champions league Final
Why shouldn't a Referee where trainers on a hard dry pitch ?
He's running in straight lines between the boxes & not doing much else

Re: Champions league Final
Just took a look at the youtube feed.Probably first bit of football I’ve watched since March. But the empty stands and piped crowd noise is just weird, so turned it off again pdq. Can’t see me bothering with streams this season if we can’t go. Maybe just stick to local non-league for a game and a pint.

Well you've never played football at a decent level. Those pitches are soft as you like.

Re: Champions league Final
PSG bottled it tonight, some of their passing into the forwards was like watching Orient v Northampton yesterday. The better team unit won over the individuals tonight, didn't think Neymar nor Mbappe lived up to the hype.
Interesting analysis after the game about how Flick went from caretaker to manager and seems to have instilled workrate and disclipine yet still kept that friendly bond with the players.

Reckon Bayern will win it again next season. It starts again within about 6 weeks and i think they have massive amounts of momentum and belief. Get on.

Re: Champions league Final
That’s harsh on PSG. Bayern’s form since the restart is a joke and PSG have come as close as anyone to stopping them. They had the better chances of the first half too and Bayern created very little until the goal.gshaw wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 11:14 pm PSG bottled it tonight, some of their passing into the forwards was like watching Orient v Northampton yesterday. They had no response to going behind though bar one or two moments, agree on that. There was only one winner after it went 1-0.

Re: Champions league Final
The most impressive thing for me was that the head coach only took over in Nov of last year as the team had been faltering in the league. He has totally transformed them from what they were into a high intensity with a defensive high line pressing team with some lovely football to watch as well.
He knew what had to be done, he knew the system with which to extract the best out of the players and then drilled them on it. The rest as they say is history.
