A majority of Brits would either like an increase on or same levels of immigration as now.

'Laughing stock': what the papers say about Gavin Williamson
Education secretary’s role in exams fiasco dominates front pages across political spectrum:

Even though The Star doesn't get involved in politics very often, even they are asking for the 'Invisible Man' to come out of his tent and do something.
What an utter clusterf**k of pure incompetence this gormless mob of Tories truly are.
I blame Jeremy Corbyn!

Boris will do exactly what he wants and is free to ignore opinion, Starmer, Newspapers. Given his huge majority he can do what he likes pretty much and there is naff all anybody can do to stop it. That is the truth of it.
Cummings should be history, Williamson ruled over an absolute fiasco and should be sacked. But if Boris chooses to keep them he can. He is almost untouchable. Thanks to a very large majority.

Re: Tory Watch
After the last 9 months, Doh, with everything we know and the way the PM has acted, if presented with the choice again would you still vote for Boris over Corbyn?
(I've asked a Corbyn question because I know you like an opportunity to bring him up and to mention the very large majority).

Re: Tory Watch
I would never vote for Corbyn. But Starmer? Thus far the answer is probably. Of course in 4 years time the current mess will be history, Johnson will have had the opportunity to screw up or make good and Starmer may have freed himself of the current Labour mess and present his idea for the future.PoliticOs wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2020 3:35 pm After the last 9 months, Doh, with everything we know and the way the PM has acted, if presented with the choice again would you still vote for Boris over Corbyn?

I continue to remind people that the current crap that is politics is part of his legacy and when we are all having a go at Untouchable BoJo we need to remind ourselves why he is in such a strong position.

Re: Tory Watch
What people like you just don’t get was the choice. Corbyn or Johnson. Johnson won not because he was the best, but the least worse. It’s not complex. People rejected Corbyn, they didn’t have a massive love in with Johnson. Corbyn was crap. Corbyn was incompetent. Not a great trait in a two horse race.NuneatonO's wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2020 5:50 pmThe reason that the Tories are in power is because people like YOU voted for them!

So what were people like me supposed to do? Not much of a choice. I didn’t vote for Johnson, but against Corbyn.

I give up.
You seriously can't be this dense.
Please do me a favour and never vote for the Labour Party. Losing by 80 seats last November was embarrassing enough!

Just shows how bad things are that after one of Labours worst defeats ever ,
The Tories are giving us so much to beat them with .
Roll on the next GE !

Even if it does come sooner than expected, a sizeable number of Labour's own supporters don't fancy their party's chances in the next general election, which is quite remarkable given both the mess the current Government is in and the amount of time Labour have to turn things round.

Labour List is NOT open only to Labour Party Members to read. It is not behind a pay wall; nor does it have any restricted access whatsoever.
In a similar way, the polls that they run are NOT open only to Labour Party Members to complete. There is no verification process; such as Party Membership Number. To this end, any amount of Ivan's or Sergei's can complete the questionnaire.
To this end, results can be taken with a pinch of salt. I wouldn't be too confident.

Watch this clip........and explain to me how we are not ALL (irrespective of political leanings) being taken as absolute mugs by Cummings, Johnson and the rest of these utterly incompetent Cabinet Morons:
It is time for some of the Tory Backbenchers to grow a pair........and to also start speaking up.
What is happening to our Country is just so fundamentally wrong now.........on so many, many levels.

What are the key differences between Corbyn and Johnson that Johnson is so much better at (or at least a bit better at) that means you'd absolutely never vote for JC but would vote for BJ. Specifically? I'm really desperately trying to understand it.
I can 100% understand why someone would look at Jeremy Corbyn and say 'nope, not for me'. I completely get it! I can't at all understand why they'd look at Corbyn and Johnson and decide upon Johnson.
