Re: Oh Harrold
Decent cover, but what are the odds that he doesn't see this contract out? Reckon he will be shipped off to a top half NL team mid season for a promotion push.

Re: Oh Harrold
Must admit I got it wrong on MH. I wrote him off at Xmas but he offers something different. Hope he does not get injured.

Re: Oh Harrold
Gotta stay injury free and he’ll be a good asset as a super sub as we can have 7 on the bench in L2

Re: Oh Harrold
I hope his record as the last Os player to score in the NL is never ever beaten as that means we r not back in the NL.
And I look forward to Jens Janses record as the last Os player to score in the EFL to be beaten in the first half of our first game back in the NL

Considering he was born in Leyton, very little is mentioned of it,
He is an E10 ambassador.

Re: Oh Harrold
I was also one of those people that got MH wrong. He definitely changed a few games in our favour coming on as a substitute , so he's well worth his contract extension . Proved himself to be a very useful player . Not only MH but I'm hoping none of our players get injured .aylesburyos wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2019 7:37 pm Must admit I got it wrong on MH. Re: Oh Harrold
Nothing against him personally, as he's clearly a good pro and real trier. But his legs have well and truly gone, and I'm sure the money could have been better spent elsewhere.

Re: Oh Harrold
Loved Matt's attitude and he was a game changer when coming on for the last 20 minutes or so of games.
I would guess he will be mainly on the bench and perhaps regarded as part of the options from a 7 man subs bench and also perhaps be involved in the training, young players etc.

Re: Oh Harrold
Are you both basing the comment his legs have on his pace? Cos he never had any in his prime. For a man whose legs have supposedly gone he proper covers some ground during games. The sports science people have all the stats and I'm sure his are good. There is no sentiment in football.
In my opinion your analysis is wrong.

He has done that before as well. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footb ... -half.htmlDisoriented wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 8:19 pmStick him in goal.
''Crawley striker Matt Harrold played in goal for the entire second half and won his first man-of-the-match award for the club as only a 96th-minute equaliser denied them the win over MK Dons. The 30-year-old replaced goalkeeper Brian Jensen after he dislocated his finger in the 39th minute and, with no replacement on the substitutes' bench, Harrold was told to go between the sticks. Harrold had never played in goal during a match or in training before, and admitted feeling a little awkward that his first man of the match came from stopping goals rather than scoring them.''

Re: Oh Harrold
Or we could utilise him as a post if one were ever to be damaged, his recent clearance from a goal bound effort would prove his post like tendencies to be rather good.Disoriented wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 8:19 pmStick him in goal.

Re: Oh Harrold
Outfield players going in goal is up there with goalies going up for corners as one of the most entertaining things in football.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 8:49 pmHe has done that before as well. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footb ... -half.html
