U turn confirmed and teachers grades to be used :D

So A*A* A A it is for my daughter and a bursary from her Uni for obtaining A* in her chosen subject.

Pleased for all the pupils who were left in Limbo by this dreadful Algorithm, Williamson shouldn't be sacked he should have the moral fibre to resign.

Pleased for you and your daughter. And all the others screwed by this algorithm. As for Williamson. The honourable thing for him is to resign.

BREAKING NEWS

All A level and GCSE results will now be given as per the teachers grades. Good move that albeit it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Problem with going off teacher grades is that teachers have a tendency to over predict their students
If you bothered to watch the above clip (which I doubt) and read the majority of news articles about predictive grading, they blow your statement completely out of the water.

Let's blame the teachers, not the Government eh? That's just so much easier.
Where have I blamed the teachers?

I watched the clip you posted and the guy even admits that students are more likely to get a grade lower than their teacher’s prediction than higher.

Using predicted grades would comfortably reach a record of A and A* awards - obvs the govt has made a right f*** up of this but there’s no perfect solution

As usual the left just want to scream discrimination and classism despite the fact all types of people have been impacted by this f*** up
There is NO perfect solution so why not err on the side of the students who have already been shafted by Covid. Let the teachers decide not a frigging computer system. Better that some benefit than a load get screwed.

Thanks PoliticsOs.

Just so happy for her, she like lots of others had worked so hard to get the grades to get her into her 1st choice Uni and onto a course that is perfect for her. credit to the University of Southampton who gave places last week based on teacher predicted grades as they obviously realised the government method of grading wasn't fit for purpose, they contacted her at one minute past eight on Thursday to advise she had her place, so before we had the results she knew she had been accepted.

Getting the bursary is great for her will buy a lot of reference books!
