A quote from Roosevelt whilst many years later defines what all those men did when they went to war.

We, too, born to freedom, and believing in freedom, are willing to fight to maintain freedom. We, and all others who believe as deeply as we do, would rather die on our feet than live on our knees.

Good quote, which I agree with. Sadly most people are more than happy to live on their knees.

That Roosevelt quote works about fighting and dying for freedom fine for WW2, but not for the trade war between competing Empire builders/defenders that was WW1.

George Scott RIP.

His memory kept alive along with Jonas and McFadden because of the great work done by Steve Jenkins.
